Hypothetical: (hence why not in trading forum)...would you trade your BA Abrax + for Sarrasin + V014. This is a hypothetical for a friend...who can do this and hence can turn into a real trade.
I don't have any of those at this point but if I did I'd keep my BAA. Sarrasin & V014 are excellent, but BAA is just utterly divine. However, that's purely personal preference.
It's a good offer, but personally BA Abraxas has been my favorite imperial stout I've had over KBBS, Assassin, Prop, Masterpiece, and DB Huna. I'd drink it!
Having had both BA Abraxas and Sarrasin, I'd do this in a heartbeat (not to mention the V14, which I have not had). Not to mention, BA Abraxas will be made again, Sarrasin was made once and who knows if it will ever be made again. Both are outstanding beers, but I'd personally value a farmhouse ale over an adjunct stout (and I don't mean that in a pejorative way).
It's a fair trade. However it comes down to personal preference like everyone else has said. I personally wouldn't do it but that's because ba Abraxas is amazing and I'm not that big of a fan of cherries.
