What are some of the weirdest hybrid styles you've seen? What are some you'd like to see?

    India Pale Rauchbier anyone?

You can bet that anything you can dream up has already been tried (and probably rejected which is why you don't see them about  )
Styles are the result of immense innovation and experimentation in the past , in general they are the ones that people will buy.Breweries then had to appeal to everyone rather than niche markets.

I homebrewed a smoked, dark IPA (CDA, IDA whatever you want to call it)
I have to fine tune it; I used the wrong kind of smoked malt and way too much of it.
I want to get this one right for what I have in my head.

I enjoyed the BBA Pumpkin beers I had last fall, and I'm digging the peanut butter porters that have been floating around

I don't know if its a newer style or something I just missed before, but the brown-farmhouse is new to me. It seems kind of weird and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

I drank a Kriek Lambic that was blended with a Golden Ale. It sucked!

Horny Goat makes a Black IPA with vanilla. At first I was skeptical but then a friend told me it was good so I bought a single. Turns out it actually works. Quite tasty.

The black saisons I've encountered have been very hit-or-miss so I suspect that the brown ones will probably also be that way.

Pipework has a white russian milk stout that is weirdly enjoyable.

I'm gonna echo what another poster said and say black/dark saisons. I just feel like the dark/roasted malts don't go together well with the funkiness that saisons have. Just seems like a total clash in flavor. Who knows, perhaps one day I'll find one that I like.

Oddside bean flicker. Blonde ale with plenty of coffee and vanilla. It's a bit strange but actually pretty good. Bells Venus was another odd one but that didn't work out too well

My definition of weird is any time the words "Imperial" and "pilsner" are combined. Yes please give me subtle balanced 9% lager.

I actually liked that collab that Stone did, I think it was a Dark smoked saison? I didn't really like Burning Rosids or their saison, but I remember enjoying the dark saison quite a bit.

Don't like: Most coffee IPAs I've had sucked. Coffee didn't come through or the hop profile was diminished. Mikkeller comes to mind. Most "hoppy wheat ales" I've had are disappointing.

Like: Sorry to the gentleman above, but soured stouts. Bruery Tart of Darkness is nice, and Almanac Bourbon Sour Porter is one of the best beers I've ever had. On that note, Alamanc is doing some interesting combinations including a dry hopped, Brett ale aged in wine barrels. I had a local Brett IPA the other day which added a bit of acidity to the beer that was delicious.
