HF Edward and Nelson Sauvin hands down. How they pulled that flavor and body off at 5.2% is still a milestone achievement in brewing IMO. Alpha King was great but at 6.66% its just like Zombie and not really a true Pale Ale IMO.

Also really liked Deshutes Mirror Pond and Smuttynose Shoals (which I can't never find anymore, despite wide Smutty distro in my area).

Honorable mention: Milkhouse Brewery in MD, recently made really solid Pale Ale called Plowshare. Hope they make that one again. One of the better pale ales out there.

Great Lakes Burning River. My reviews may say Zombie Dust, but when I got a fresh bottle of Burning River, it was pretty damn good.

Pretty Things Hedgerow Bitter was my favorite but it was discontinued.
Timothy Taylor Landlord was another favorite but I hardly ever find it.
Maine Beer Co. MO is my current fave but it's too pricey for me to drink all the time.
SNPA, Victory Headwaters, and Firestone Walker Pale 31 will do just fine.

Sierra Nevada is up there but Nebraska Brewing makes a pretty legit pale ale. It's in my top five for that style.

Sierra Nevada, definitely #1, Geary's, Burning River, Middle Ages in that order. (Can't get Geary's or Middle Ages here in Ohio unfortunately.)
