you cant post a picture from your inbox. Save it and then upload it to flickr or photobucket, or some other site.

i love how "white whales" can be a vague thing. like you can want "a white whale".

i have this obsession, and i reallllllly need to possess the object of my obsession. what is this object you say? well, i've only been in the trading game for a short time, so i don't know what beer to tirelessly pursue, but i assure you that i'm pursuing it, tirelessly.

continuing on that note, "white whale" evokes another beer/literature parallelism:

a lot of times, one might be looking to trade for some hot shot beer, when they haven't tried significantly higher quality, world class beers that are always available at local bottle shops.

similarly, one may be looking for some great media to consume (novel, movie, whatever), and asking others for suggestions, when they've never read moby dick. they know about moby dick b/c it's such a looming cultural touchstone, but never bothered reading it (maybe because it's intimidatingly long and has those ridiculous chapters). nonetheless, whenever you sit down with the new hot novel, chances are you would get more out of one of the classics like moby dick, which really is unbelievably good.

edit: p.s. i know everyone knows the "trade vs world class shelf beer i haven't tried," cliche. i'm mainly posting to urge people who haven't read melville to do so.

well said. world classics of literature and world classics of beer - neither rare and both mind blowing.

OP did ask if he can land any beers off the white whale list, so even though it's vague, he did specify what list of beers he's looking for.
