is it just me or does BCBS show up at many places we don't even think about drinking because they are bars that order a ton of bud and other Inbev stuff and get preferential treatment? It's a rhetorical question.

yes. & you should look EVERYWHERE, even in hell holes. in the bay area, there is still stuff trickling out of the distribuor. i already distributed these, so no messages please but to give an idea:




pulled those Tuesday morning out of a bay area corner store (not to confused with a "bottle shop" or craft location). again. my advice would be look everywhere!

MSRP is $27 or $28 and after having a bottle, I'd snap up everything I could get my hands on for under $35. Delicious beer.

i can't really say, myself. the few places i was able to find stuff were very random locations. not that long after BF somewhere i'd guess around page 4 or 5 of this thread i posted i found some in a mom & pops. the guy had em for what i thought was an incredibly reasonable price of $21. but i think that was a fluke & not the norm. i actually asked him if he was sure he wasn't losing $$ on em which he laughed & assured me he was was not.

 

I thought it was closer to 22. Not saying i wouldnt buy it. But... damn. I had some pours at native son in santa ana. Very good beer.

 

32.99 isnt bad, i believe retail is around 28, I'd gladly pay 33 for it.

 

also just to be clear that price included tax + crv and all fees as evidenced on the receipt. so as a shelf price, that would probably be $29 & some change. i'm guessing the store did those that way because, trust me, the ordinary clientele has probably never fathomed a beer that costs more than $3.

 

There's a shop near my work that has BW and regular for $49.99 a 4 pack, like 3 of each left, will probably sit there for a long time.

 

Ahh. Didnt notice the receipt. Thought 33, plus another 10% for the good old state of ca. Amazing find.

 

2013 Barleywine is still on tap at Surly Goat in West Hollywood. They tapped it last week and it has lasted this long. Aged very well.

 

I had 2 8oz pours of Vanilla Rye on Black Friday and have been looking for a bottle ever since. This has inspired me to keep looking! lol

 

nobody wreck their car, from what i understand, this was the last bottle at that specific location. but obviously, as said, it's still trickling out. be vigilant.
