What does your BA username mean?

It's my name. Just an engineer being creative.

 

First two letters of my first name, first two letters of my middle name, and then my last name.
Also because I work in oncology (chemo), and from my own experiences with cancer.
My friends tease me by highlighting the 'emo' hidden in the middle of it because of a bad breakup years ago. They can all go... sit and spin.

Strangely, mine has absolutely nothing to do with International Bitterness Units, although I am a Sean who digs IBUs in reasonably large quantities - it's a total coincidence. It comes from some inscrutable word game my father liked to play with names - he called me Sean-ibus (like Latin) and my brother Evan-inski (like Slavic languages). I never asked him why, but it provided me with a great screen name.

 

My last name means "The Vine" in French... I got my Sommelier certification... then pretty much did a 180 and decided beer was... "more for me".

 

Last name. Kinda like Prince, Donahue, so on....

Mine is pretty self explanatory.

 

My username means I don't necessarily need present and future employers to be able to directly Google my actual name and discover my potential alcoholism.

And I love backpacking for weeks at a time, but live in a city. Throw in that I love blackened meat cooked over burning wood, and it seemed about right.

Anaxagoris was an ancient Greek philosopher. I changed the name just a little out of respect. He was the first man to really study solar eclipses and the first to say the world was flat. Not a correct theory but innovative none the less.

 

Fellow Royce here. I've actually never heard Hem-Royce...much more original than Rolls Royce. "Royce? Like Rolls Royce?"

It's an old, old, old nickname followed by my lucky number and some other letters that have a meaning that aren't worth sharing.

Stands for 5 Elements Kung Fu. It's the name of the martial arts club I had for a number of years, where the main style I taught was Xing Yi Quan. The main 5 techniques are generally referred to as the 5 elements.
