She's a pretty special little booger. She was the last of her litter. No one else wanted her because she didn't run over and jump on them as a puppy, but she and I see eye to eye. She's definitely still a pup, but she's got a stoicism underneath it all, like a deep river in the middle of the woods. Strong and beautiful with her own subtle music and with a depth and age that belies her time on earth. I, too, tend to be a little... cynical for the 'heart strings' typification (though I tend to let my florid self-obsessed side bloom in this particular venue, potentially undermining any claims to the aforementioned), but she's really been... Words, nah. Y'all seem to know, though, from experience. @2beerdogs, I'm sorry to hear that. I know what it's like to lose a companion you've had for years. My family has always had four legged friends, and while I may be a young gun in the grand scheme of things, I'm old enough to have outlived a couple of furry family members. Never easy. Mogli went down that much sweeter knowing Porter was here and that she should be for a good long while hence. Side note similar to your side note: Shortly after the second picture was taken, she was sniffing around my glass and tried to take a couple of exploratory laps at it with her tongue, prompting my pulling it away. Honestly, even more than the dog slobber in my drink or anything else it was the deeply ingrained chocolate =/= dogs that prompted my grabbing the glass and yanking it away that lead to the spilling. Once the f/f/f calmed I realized a: there's probably miniscule amounts of chocolate found in a beer ii: the brewing process probably reduces the content of the bad stuff even further, and 3: it's probably not even THAT bad as bad as they say anyway anyway. Anyway. Taddy was one of the inspiration for your username, was s/he not (been enjoying reading through the old 'what does your username mean?" thread resurrected by one of our very own...)? Taddy and Nuke? Was that it? Finally, yes, the beer intrigued me (and was enjoyable), but I think what really really put it on my radar was exactly the story/name/picture/all that whole bundle. And even if it tasted like boogers, I'd still be glad to have tried it for those reasons.
Here's to all those with four legs now and then and going forward

I've got to agree with pretty much that whole sentiment. The beer is amazing, the brewery itself is great, the cans/labels/shirts/etc are top notch, the people are great per all my experiences, and heck it's the neighbourhood where I was born! Can't go wrong there...

Another nice 2-man share. No 'whalez bro', but some really enjoyable brews! Highlights were the La Cumbre (thanks to @Kylo76) and Hardywood Raspberry Stout. The Ryan and the Beaster Bunny and the Lost Abbey Saints Devotion were both 2013 bottles which held up nicely. Green Tea Ipa was crazy but good, would pair well with sushi IMO. NN is always a treat. Einstok was trash. Zombie Monkie was definitely a robust porter, really nice.
    Cheers!

George Killian's Irish Red. My dad bought himself a 12 pk of this and I asked if I could have one for after work (because I never had this beer before and tickers gotta tick) and he said yes. A serviceable enough amber lager. Smooth maltiness.

Wow, 5 pages on this chronologically-accurate-taking-leap-years-and-inconsistencies-of-our-time-numbering-systems-into-account 10th Anniversary.

Again, thanks to @malty and @mattcrill getting us to this point,

Hopefully there will be a post in ten years (the date of which I will leave to better minds than mine to figure) celebrating our 20th.

Thanks to you all who make this such a fun place to share our passion on Sundays. Cheers!
