I'll be in Austin for a few days at the beginning of April and would appreciate any tips for breweries to visit other than Jester King. Also does anyone know if the Atrial Rubicite is only released once a year? Can anyone tell me if it'll be around in April?

atrial comes out whenever they have the fruit for it.

check out austin beerworks, hops and grain, whip-in, and 512.

Pinthouse pizza - great selection of their own beers and some guest taps, and great pizza.

I'd definitely check out at Adelbert's if you go to Austin Beerworks since they're a few minutes drive from each other.

You can't go to Austin and not have the best brew made in Texas! Don't forget to check out Live Oak and drink gallons of their Hefe.

Best hefe in the world. Pilz is amazing as well.

True, but the only beer higher on this site with more than 1000 reviews is Weihenstephaner, and I feel like Live Oak is much better. But I'm biased.

I will cosign on this claim, and I have only lived in TX for 5.5 years to defeat claims of homerism.

Haha - America I think could be doable - I've heard so many good things. But the world (i.e. thinking about German beers beyond Weihenstephaner)? That's a big call. Well - less than a month till I find out..

Best in America beyond the shadow of a doubt. I had a bunch of beers in Germany, but that was 16 years ago when I was 17. Maybe my frame of reference is skewed.

I'll just say I can't imagine there exists a better hefe.
