Cavs/Brew Kettle IPA

    Combining some of the greatest things about Cleveland — The Cavs! Local craft beer! Timely marketing opportunities! —- a new IPA is set to sate our appetites next month.

    The Cavs and Strongville's own Brew Kettle are teaming up on a new recipe — the "All For One" session IPA — that will hit streets March 25. You'll be able to find the beverage on tap and in bottles at the Q, the Brew Kettle and at Heinen's stores throughout Cleveland (go check out the new downtown location when it opens this Wednesday, by the way).

    From the Cavs:
    This special beer is a hop forward brew without the bite (4.75% ABV, 35 IBUs). It’s packed with big fruity, citrus flavor and brewed with the addition of the spicy character of rye malt.

    Jack Kephart, head brewer at The Brew Kettle stated, “We wanted to brew a Session IPA that was truly ‘One For All.’ Our goal was to give 'All For One' the hop flavor and aroma of a typical IPA in a lower ABV, but with a lower perception of bitterness that the casual beer drinker would find approachable.”

    Just caught this on Twitter yesterday. I somewhat wish it wasn't going to be a session IPA, but my wife is a huge Cavs fan so it's made its way onto the ISO list.

    Ill definitely try this beer. BTW, Im super into the new(er) Brew Kettle logo (the circular one as opposed to the rectangular one).

    What is this new logo you guys are referring to? The one in the first post? If so, I think that was just for this Cavs collaboration.

    The one right in the center at the top (the round one versus the street-sign version).

    Are we sure that's a new logo? It seems a lot like the Cavs throwback style, so I'm guessing it was their marketing team that came up with that for this All For One session IPA promotion.

    You're more than likely correct on this, as otherwise that style logo is no where to be seen (at least on the website). I'm also not seeing any TM references anywhere near it.

    New logo it is, gents. A friend of mine, who is one of the brewers at brew kettle and also a fantastic graphic designer, did it. They just haven't made using it across the board, in their identity, a priority yet. Hopefully they will soon since it is much better.

    Cavs marketing team did the packaging design for the new beer, though. Not sure why we aren't seeing it on the bottles.

    I actually think its great that its a session IPA because of it more than likely being sold at a sporting event..There is already enough drunks out there, so having a nice low abv is good...

    Those are great points, though I don't want to know how much a bottle of that would cost at the Q.
