Damn weather is so bad for you midwest east coast folks, I was planning on shipping today but might have to hold off.

Hoping temperatures mellow out by early next week so I can get my box out to my target. Just got a fresh VT DIPA to include that should be opened sooner rather than later.

I have a complete inventory of my cellar. Try to put IPA right in the fridge, unless I'm holding it for a reason. There are several that I have multiples of, just to experiment later. Moslty Stouts, BW, Ole Ales, and Sours. OK, mostly stouts!

I have no friggin idea how I will ever get through it, and it just keeps growing...the numbers on the boxes are my inventory markers, up to 82 inventories boxes...

Without knowing the count, I'm pretty confident you have more than I do.

 

My wife is sort of OK with this. I've talked about putting in a walk in cooler to better protect my investment. I think she plays along as long as the addiction is collecting too much, not drinking too much.

 

Astonishing how much that mirrors my situation. My wife is getting fed up with the collecting side too, but that's only because I have yet to consolidate it into one place like you have; she has to deal with 6+ cases in the bedroom, dining/living room, and the kitchen... once (soon) I get all of that moved into one consolidated space I think she'll be much less uncomfortable with it.

I'd love to do a small walk-in, even just a jury-rigged foam core/2x4/window ac unit setup would be fine, I hear it's doable in a single Saturday for a couple hundred bucks.

 

I've been thinking of just getting a 2-3 door True cooler used off Craigslist and sticking it in the garage. I gotta do inventory to see how much space I really need.

 

then double the size, these cellars grow all by themselves...

I'm pretty sure I've outgrown that already, and on top of being really expensive (even used) they suck up a LOT of power.

Not saying don't do it, just do your homework on cost of ownership + cost of acquisition compared to other solutions before you pull the trigger.

Quickest way to downsize this cellar that I can think of is to pack up a box (or more if you are feeling nice but one is fine) and send it my way
