Firestone Walker Parabola 2015

It releases 3/21. Scored an early taste last night...

So what did you think, how does it compare to last years?

You know it's still very young and will need some time to develop. Big fudge this year, but not quite as spectacular as the 2014 was right out of the gate. Then again, this was after a full Bourbon County tasting, so my palate was wasted by the time this got opened.

 

What's the abv on this years?

 

How long does Parabola sit around at BevMo and other similar stores around LA?

Hoping this year I can have my Bruery guy pick me up some and I can just PayPal him the cash. He was able to do it with Sucaba pretty easily but I believe Parabola goes faster.

 

This DOES make it's way to PA...well at least SE PA. I picked a couple up last year in NJ actually.

 

Last year one store here got one case and it was gone in like an hour.

I should be able to get some from my Bruery guy, I just don't want him to have to run all over creation trying to find it. He was able to just stroll into a BevMo a couple of days after it landed to get Sucaba. I'm thinking he'll have to be a little more on the ball with this one.

 

I emailed Firestone Walker asking when Parabola would be released to the St. Louis, MO market, this was there response:

"Parabola will release sometime in late March or early April in Missouri. I do not have a release date, sorry. It goes to market based on when the load arrives from California, and truck routes once it leaves our distributor’s warehouse.
The best way to handle any special release is to reserve a bottle from your go-to liquor store. Ask around now to find stores that will reserve you one.

Hahaha. It was one of those epic one time bottle shares in benefit of the owner of the BCBS bottles. Our price of admission was diapers for his soon to arrive baby. This is how men do baby showers!
