Also.... confirmed off Tuesday. So glad I can make it to my local CBS tapping. I wonder how they are handing it, they said they are doing tickets from 4-6 and then tapping -- I wonder if pour size will be based on # of tickets sold, and if they will cap it so that there is a minimum pour size (probably 5oz, IIRC that's what KBS was when they did tickets the second time they tapped it last year... first time was a 2 hour tapping they announced 5 minutes before tapping it with unlimited 9oz pours)

My first (I think) Gruit style beer. An un-hopped beer brewed with bog myrtle, lemon verbena, and mugwort. Herbal, earthy, and slightly tart.

I agree with this; I was SO close to joining because it was a "small" round and would, to be totally honest, have been kind of annoyed if I felt obligated to crush someone's porch. I am loathe to criticize someone for their generosity, but seriously, when we call for a "small" round it's specifically to make it easy for as many people to participate as possible. While I know no one thinks of it as a dick swinging contest, it can unintentionally turn into that to some degree pretty quickly.

If you feel the need to decimate a porch and we aren't doing a "big round," either set up a trade with someone you think won't mind crushing back, or do a LIF, or straight up ninja someone for no reason. We all love that shit, and it is always appreciated. We'll do another big round soon(ish), I'm sure, and there's other BIFs outside the thread (Stout IV for example) that provide ample opportunity for big boxes. Please respect the size limitations on what are specifically set up to be "small" rounds. [/rant]

Should we maybe have "small", "medium", and "large" rounds? Where a "small" really is a 6 shipper (or similar), a "medium" is where we have an ignored 150oz limit, and a "large" round is where we have an ignored 250 or 300oz limit?

 

Its coming, but has to be done on a weekend. Work (and long ass Houston commute) gets in the way of doing it during the week.

 

No worries, and you are free to accomplish the challenge at any time of day you see fit, by the way.
