Same, but only if they open with the entire Crack the Skye album.

Have you used this bus in the past? I've used the Reggie's bus the last couple of years and while the price is right and I enjoy the crowd, the return trip is always a bit chaotic. Also, the thought of an easy blue line out to the western burbs afterwards is very appealing and cheaper than the cab that I inevitably order when I just want to get home at the end of the day.

No, I've not used this bus nor Reggie's. I'm sure Reggie's will have another bus this year. The festdrive bus looks to have return buses every on hour on the hour from 1 to 11 pm. It's tough to beat the Reggie's price though. Maybe someone can chime in on the Jaks Tap bus from last year.

I'd also like to know if the Jaks busses have restrooms. Timing the intake/release can be tricky on the ride down. The ride back can be pure misery.

I will throw this out for Reggies. Get there early (a bit before they even open) and get on the early buses out.

The staff is great and very accommodating and the breakfast buffet can help you lay down a solid foundation for the day. They just need to organize the pick up a bit better because it's basically a drunken free-for-all once the sun goes down.

I will have a bus (potentially two) for the fourth year this year that will be leaving from the Marcey St. Binny's at 7 AM, and leave at 7:30 PM from DLD, stopping first at the Ogilvie Train Station before terminating back at Binny's. The cost is $20 round trip and we will have wristbands for everyone that you will need to have to get back on the bus at the end of the day to help with the inevitable chaos.

After tickets go on sale I will release additional details to those interested. In the meantime, feel free to shoot me a message for the number of spots you might want to reserve and I will maintain a list. Please note that I will not be responding to any messages until after the ticket on-sale (presumably March 17), so if you ask a question in your message, it will not be answered at this time. Cheers!

Last year, my brother and I jumped on the Jak's bus home. We took the Reggie's bus there (great people and they have beers for purchase on the bus), but when we tried to jump on one for the way back they were all filled. Instead of waiting we walked around and asked where the other busses were going.

Since I live in University Village it seemed like a good choice to throw the drive a few bucks and jump on. It was a school bus with no bathrooms, so nothing spectacular, but then again there were only like 4 of us in the bus total...

EDIT: I just read the FestDrive page and I am not sure what I rode last year was the same thing, haha. But who knows...

I'm still contemplating if I want to make the 10 hr drive again this year for DLD. Hmm

I'd love it if Pig Destroyer played again. Or maybe someone like Suicide Silence. Anthrax would be off the charts!

Maybe related? Pointless conjecture? - I'm looking up tour dates for some likely suspects and see that a week before DLD, there's a show at Hardywood Brewery with Pig Destroyer, Iron Reagan (both DLD vets), Mutilation Rites, and Burn/Ward. It seems to be a one-off for most of the bands, so maybe a short tour bookended by brewery shows?

(Incidentally, Anthrax's website has them in South Dakota on April 25.)

As a follow up here, I contacted the bus people regarding the type of buses being used:

Gotcha. Didn't know they were having a release today. I guess if it was IP DLD last year the line would be a hell of alot bigger.
