Sun coming up on the east coast. Friggin' cold outside so seems like a good drinking day. Starting the day off with this crowler of yellow rose...

Breakfast bagels. My wife is drinking the iced coffee (even though it's 6 degrees outside), and I'm drinking a very ordinary barrel aged Scottish Ale from Shipyard.
    Have a great Saturday everyone!

Morning BA...coffee is done, breakfast is on, thought I'd start off light and pour me a tall glass of juice...

This is a solid offering from Boulevard and at 4.2 ABV, tart but very easy to drink a few. A spring brew that really needs to be moved to summer...this would be fantastic on a hot summer day!

Cheers to your Saturday boys & girls...Winter Is Coming...in April

I went to Rising Tide after work last night to fill my growler with their draft only coffee Porter, Waypoint. I'll drink half of it now and save the rest for tomorrow morning.

Had some very disappointing Ballast Point Sculpin last night (not the grapefruit). It seemed very flat and not worthy of a 98 rating. Probably a bad 6-pack. Or is it supposed to be that way and I just don't like it?

Good Morning and Great Day BA's..

Starting with what I didn't finish 6 hours ago...(still drinking fresh...still one of the best Black IPA's I have ever had, with a phenomenally minimal impact on the wallet as a bonus)

Starting early, but slow...pace is key...father-in-law celebrating an 80th birthday today with a large family function (best can get is Lugunitas IPA on tap...for this family and area, this is a high point...

will impact my ability to post and peruse BA site....such is life...

No theme...no connection...just the soundtrack of life currently playing...

Drink well and be well this fine Saturday BA's...

this is nice, especially the level the peppers accentuate. giving Xocoveza a run for its money.

    Good Morning BA

Fresh Double Crooked. Juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, piney hop flavors. Mmm so awesome. Malt really isn't too overwhelming fresh, but I love what shows up when I age this.

Glad these are in 4 packs now. Really great RIS. Great malt complexity showing some dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and toast/molasses notes; and balanced bitter/sweet roasted flavors with some light dark fruits. Nice balancing earthy hop bitterness due to the freshness of the batch as well. Love it.

2012. This is amazing right now. Huge notes of raisin/plum/apple fruits with caramel/toffee/brown sugar/toasty malts and modest piney/earthy hop bitterness. Really well balanced bitterness/sweetness; still a fair amount of hops going on, but not overwhelming. Smooth/sticky finish. At 3 years I still love it, but 5 years seems to be the prime age to me. Still outstanding.

    Cheers
