Bad trader @hoyalwaya

I really hoped to never have to create one of these, but unfortunately @Hoyalawya is a beer thief and needs to be called out.
I met him at a bar and had a few beers with him last May, and he came across as someone very enthusiastic about beer and a really solid guy. He was moving out to SoCal, and we mutually agreed to do a beer trade at some point. We stayed in touch and decided to do a trade in November (it was the first ever trade for both of us). This trade was perfectly smooth; he sent me a great box even though we had agreed to only send shelf stuff. Then he texted me around Christmas that he had just picked up several bottles from Beachwood and was going to Russian River, Alpine, and Societe and wanted to do another trade. He specifically said he was sending Nelson and Blind Pig; the rest I was willing to leave up to him because he appeared to be quite generous. I knew if he was sending Nelson and Russian River, I'd have to up the ante on my side as well. We agreed to ship right after New Year. He sent me pictures of Beachwood bottles and a box with an Alpine logo and said I was going to love the stuff. As I look back on it now, he was laying it on thick and probably roping me in.
I texted him on Jan. 2 that I had just dropped off his box (I sent 12 bottles, several of which had been picked up at breweries by me or friends doing me a favor). He responded, "Awesome man! Good timing as I'm just about to drop off your package too! Can't wait!"
5 days later, the box I sent arrived at his door. I still had not received a tracking number or any further communication since the above quote. I texted him that day to let him know the box arrived, hoping he would be reminded that he still had to ship/give me a tracking number. His response was, "Oh my! I can't wait to get home!' Since this message, I have not received any communication from him in 2 months. I've emailed, called, texted, pm'd. He's completely ignoring me. I know he has not dropped off the face of the earth because he has rated some of the beers I sent him on a certain mobile app that I won't name. He actually rated some beers yesterday. He also continues to log-in to this site several times a week.
I totally trusted this guy. After the first box he sent, I thought we had the potential to not only be trading partners, but good friends. Instead, it appears that he long-conned me into sending 12 of my best beers to his doorstep for nothing. He does not even have the courage to say, "Yeah, i stole your beers. Screw you." Instead he's just ignoring me, expecting me to lose interest.
This trade was not created on BA, and I know it's generally not okay to post threads like these outside of the feedback system. However, I feel I need to alert all of you in this community that there is a guy who is pretending to care about craft beer, coming on this site often and hanging out at Beachwood and other well-known Socal bars. This guy is a con man.

 

@PA-Michigander, I'm regretting not going through BA and feedback now, but like I said at the time this guy was basically a friend who had already come through once before. Live and learn.

@kmello69 He has a facebook account, linkedin account and a youtube video of him doing some sort of sky diving. All using his real name. I don't want to put any personal stuff out despite what a melvin he is. I also don't use non-beer related social media so I cannot troll him there.

@wheelzntoys That's extremely kind of you. I would not accept anything for free and would insist on sending you a box in return.
Posters on this thread remind me what a supportive community we have here. It's unfortunate that a few predatory scumbags try to exploit our generosity, but I still want to trust every BA and continue to share great beer.
