Mason Lounge in Madison is very close to that, I used to live right around the corner. Very reasonable pricing too, they had BCBS on for $5.50 a glass once, it was great.

I'm a bit of an introvert, but that doesn't mean you can't get me talking-- especially if it's about beer.

As such, I primarily prefer small bars with minimal crowds and a good tap selection. I don't like when things get crowded and I really don't like frat boy atmospheres. I'd rather drink with old timers and down home type folks.

I normally drink in my house though as I'm not really into the whole going out thing. Every now and then it's nice to get out, but the quite sanctity of the house is a good thing in my opinion. It gives me a better chance to relax, savior the beer, and review it properly.

You just explained what my response would have been about word for word.

    Cheers!

I'm an introvert until I start drinking and then I become an extrovert and then I become more of an extrovert and then my friends ditch me.

Introvert for sure. I love my "me" time and times out with a small group of friends.

I think I can comfortably fit into both categories equally. During the work-week, I am definitely more introverted I value my down time at home and will open a beer or two to myself most nights while I relax. On the weekends though or days off I prefer to be around friends, whether we go out to a brewery or craft beer bar or just hang out at a house and open bottles together. I love meeting new folks at breweries when I go alone (which I do often) and I have never been averse to starting a conversation with a stranger at those kinds of places.

Introvert, 90% of the time I am enjoying a beer it is at home, about 5% is in a restaurant with my family and the other 5% is with friends. I also have a commercial driver's license that if I was ever to get pulled over, I'd have a DUI at .04% in California. Yeah, that alone keeps home but I'd rather beer at home.

"Homebody" here too. I like the relaxed schedule at home and the idea that I can find excellent company right here anytime.

I'm hard of hearing so the less people the better. It's always fun having a beer with good friend you can talk to. Another fellow BA here has a hearing loss so its fun to have a beer with him and we can talk and relate to many things. I guess this makes me introvert.

I generally prefer to stay home; too many cops on the road these days.

Definitely an introvert, due to the hectic nature of my active family. When I get the chance to go out and enjoy good beer in the company of friends, it is fantastic. These opportunities are few and far between, so I treasure them.

I work long days in customer service so the thought of going out just doesn't hold a lot of interest for me. Rather enjoy quiet evening with family and any new (or favorite) beer of my choosing.

    Introvert....until a few beers in

I do think I get more enjoyment out of beer at home, whereas when I'm out, it's about people. Which makes sense.

Definitely an introvert, and in a town where you're expected to be social if you're at the bar. Something about a person drinking but not talking seems to bring out the worst in folks here. I've been elbowed, glared at, and pushed around more times than I'd prefer to remember. Shy people like fancy draft beer too! And they really fucking take offense to your extrovert privileged attitudes. Bars are for everyone, damnit.

Introvert according to the OP's precedent. I drink at home mostly. I have no problem offering people some of my "good stuff," but I live out in the country (40 mile commute to work), so it is extremely out of the way for someone to visit.

I don't mind at all. I am perfectly at home in a group as well. I make it a point to talk about the new beers I have tried at work. The average person just is not willing to pay the extra money for good beer as far as I can tell.

I try to be the best beer ambassador I can be though.

Introvert, I like to spend my free time at home with family and friends. I do like to go out and hit different breweries or tap houses on occasion with friends just to try new things. A good beer trail is also fun do.

    Introvert.

I work at a liquor store and spend the morning stocking shelves, then most of the rest of my day running the tap/growler wall, which has me talking to people all day about beer, as well as just kind of shooting the shit while they enjoy their beers, so by the time i get off i usually go home, crack open a beer, and get on BA or play guitar.

Bars just aren't for me, unless there's a tapping that i can't miss out on. Too loud, too much going on, and not near the level of comfort i get at home. I will invite friends over if i have beers that i want someone to share with (usually high ABV beers, rare beers, or bombers) but i really just enjoy my alone time writing music and putting down a beer (or three).

It's 8:00 on a Saturday night - all the extroverts are at the bar. It's an introvert orgy in here right now.

Kidding aside, I'm an introvert as well. When I do go to the bar, I prefer the middle of the day before crowds arrive. I can't stand it when it gets so loud. It completely overwhelms me and defeats the purpose of having a beer and winding things down. I could have gone to Founders last night with Blushing Monk, KBS and CBS on tap but I didn't go because I knew it would be a shitshow.

I'm married with fairly young kids, so I'm a stay home kind of guy for the most part. I like hanging out with my wife, but I also like to go out with my friends. I guess I'm both depending on the situation, but most of the time I like to hang at home and relax.
