Red Poppy definitely gets a lot better with age.

La Folie (or Le Terroir) on the other hand won't (nor will it go vinegary) because they pasteurize it, nothing is alive in there so the only change over time will be oxidation. I'm really not sure why they'd keep that around unless they think there's going to be a significant batch variation.

Either way, definitely sounds like my kind of place; I'll have to keep it in mind if I'm ever in Atlanta

Didn't it used to be unpasteurized? Maybe not and it might have been prior to 2009 but I thought at some point it went from being not pasteurized to pasteurized.

 

A post from the Lost and Found department.....

I needed to pack up a box today so I was reviewing my stack of used boxes to see if I had one that was the right size. I selected one and was pulling all the packing material out to readjust things. Then I saw something that didn't belong....a ring (jewelry). It appears to be a nice ring, not a toy.

I have exchanged beers with @valrxman in this same box and have sent a BM to him inquiring if it is his. I originally received this box from @UcDru. I also see some old labels on the box from @Dave_Treat. Since we all reuse boxes there's a good chance that the owner is a Local.

Anyway, if anyone is missing or knows someone that missing a ring please BM me a description of the it. Hopefully we can get the ring returned to the rightful owner.

(Potential) Content hint #3: A local brewery just released a beer that is seasonal/limited for them. They aren't very well known/are pretty much local, and the beer isn't rated super highly on here, but it also doesn't have many ratings. I'm going to pick some up this week, and if it passes my personal taste test (as I've not had it before but am interested in it), expect it to be included.

 

I need a new username, I have barely even watched the show since it stopped being funny and went massively downhill after season 8... and here we are 18 seasons later...

I think I created this username for original AOL screen name sometime around 1995, and I just kept using it for everything else...

 

I think I stopped around the same time you did; not sure if it was season 8 or how steep the drop was, but I'm pretty sure I gave up on it sometime in the late 90's so I'm in the same ballpark as you.

 

Anyone recently get divorced and like using noise makers?
