    Our fearless leaders here on BA have a handy-dandy FAQ section :wink: to help forum participants get the hang of things, including posting pictures, but I'm sure different image hosting sites have their own wrinkles, for better or for worse.

    I'm curious as to which sites are the most popular, hence the poll. Now I can only list 10 choices, so please select "other" to describe who you use if it's not a poll option.

    I also figure this might be a good place to mention any pros or cons to your image host of choice.
    No site bashing, please, just constructive evaluations or descriptions.

    I'll start off...
    I use Flickr, who currently offers three types of accounts: Free, Ad Free and Doublr. The free account includes one TB of storage limited to 200 MB per photo and 1 GB per video (3 min. vid max). The Ad Free option removes ads :rolling_eyes: for a fee. The Doublr account includes twice the storage of a free account but you have to pay. Not sure about the rates, as I have a recurring Pro account which offered unlimited storage for $24.95/year (but they don't offer that kind of account anymore). Flickr is fine but requires a lot of clicking (unless I'm doing it wrong) to get to the image you want to copy and paste. Flickr has an app for phones, too, but I have never figured out how to work it to post my pic to the site directly from my iPhone (and then to BA); I transfer my pics from my phone to my PC, and then upload to Flickr before copying and pasting to BA.

    So who do you use?

    I am lazy, used to post to wbaydn thread but multi-step process to cumbersome. Post all my pics to untappd now, so easy.

    I use postimage. Really simple, but I'm not worried about archiving my usually less-than-stellar photos anyway.

    I chose other because I upload my stuff onto facebook and then copy and paste the picture into this box. (for what beer are you drinking now threads)

    You should have the poll allow for multiple choices. I use 3 of those services regularly and have accounts at 3 others as well.

    I use photobucket.
    I take the picture and upload it with my phone.
    I usually post the photos from my computer though.
    it was always fine. I recently upgraded to the paid version and it is so much better.
    the ads are gone and it is so much faster.

    Oh well. I checked Flickr since that is what I usually post links to on this site. I joined it first and so already had beer pictures there. I probably use imgur the most for general file storage and sharing. I also use Instagram but mostly for specific topics of interest shared with my Instagram friends. The others I have accounts but rarely use are Dropbx, Photobucket and Imageshack.

    Photobucket, but I edit stuff in Instagram first, just don't keep photos post there since I am a teacher and don't want it to be easy to trace my drinking on social media.
