So, sitting here at work, a little bored, and started thinking. Lets say you have a trade set up for some Whales (enter rare Cantillon here), and both parties send their box at the same time. Trader A, gets their box, and everything in perfect condition. Trader B, gets their box, although well packed, bottle broken inside. Since Trader A, does not have an extra of that bottle, Trader A sends his box back to trader B, but...yep beer inside gets broken again. At this point, despite good packing both times, and just getting a disgruntled delivery guy, would it be Trader A's responsibity, to cover both bottles? Again, I know this would prob never happen, just a random thought.
Haha, yeah, But WHAT IF, it wasn't reaaaally the traders fault. Although I guess at most they would just need to cover the other traders lost bottle. I think yesterday's drinking hasn't completely worn off yet
Depends. How fast was the train moving that trader A was riding on traveling westward when trader B boarded his train in Minneapolis?
I was actually just poking fun at all the bad trader threads that are on the forum right now. My view is that Trader A owes Trader B some serious whales if he/she is breaking a bottle every time the box is sent out. Or some cash.
I'm willing to bet that when things like this happen to not-so notorious members of the community Trader A will abandon their BA account and go into seclusion for a bit.
Hmmmm...what about a BIF where everyone sends a whale. Bonus box to be sent to the person who successfully ships with the least amount of packing material.
Two reasonable/generous people will work something out that satisfies everyone. You shouldn't be trading whales with people you don't know 100% to be reasonable and generous.
Posts like this make me not want to trade. I'm currently involved in my first trade and the guy seems very reasonable and generous. I think he threw me an extra, I feel bad for not doing the same but now I know. I hope the bad traders are a minority.
