Agreed. Complainers gonna complain. Everyone I talked to had a great time and had many great beers.

The only thing I can complain about is a lot of breweries ran out of beer before 4pm. Come on Westbrook your brewery is only 15 minutes away and you run out of beer 1.5 hours early.

I agree...lotsa "sold out" signs at 4 but if you looked around there was still good stuff to be found...my last beer at about 4:30 was 2012 Brown Shugga!

Now that the dust has settled I'm just popping back to say some more specifics about why Brewvival was (is) great. First off, it was exceptionally well organized and run. Very impressive. Secondly, the crowd was awesome. Everyone was friendly, and I didn't see a single altercation or line jumping incident the entire time. Granted, this should always be the case, but with the ever increasing "bro-ness" of the craft beer scene, it doesn't always work out that way. Third, the beer list was awesome and there were tons of options, many which had literally no line at all. Other smaller positives that added to the experience: great food trucks, convenient water stations, enough port-a-potties, plenty of room to hang out, live music. The list goes on and on. I pretty much couldn't imagine a better beer fest. Thanks to @coast , CBX, and everyone who volunteered/worked!

In terms of the beers, just wanted to post some of my favorites:
    Westbrook Fisticuffs
    Against the Grain 70k
    River Rat Imperial Milk Stout
    Founders Blushing Monk
    COAST 10 BA Blackbeerd
    Allagash Monmouth Red

Tons of other great stuff as well. I will say the only disappointments for me were Jester King Snorkel (and I guess the beers JK brought as a whole). I decided to skip the lines for BA Tequila Cake and CBS, so the only beer I got in line for at the time of tapping that was kicked before I got a pour was 4 Roses Finisher, so that was a bummer but I didn't really care cause there were so many other options.

I will say I was a dummy and didn't go to the scorpion pepper/chocolate blackbeerd cask for a while, and it ended up getting kicked by the person in front of me. That was clearly my own fault, but if COAST wants to do another similar cask sometime I wouldn't fight them about it, haha.

Hope everyone had as good a time as I did. Cheers!

I had a great time this year as well. The cold and cloudy day definetly put a slight damper on it, but the short lines and great beer more than made up for it. Some of my favorites were the Fonta Flora Kiwi, Westbrook Batch 1000 IPA and the Jolly Pumpkin offerings. It was funny to see long lines at Jester King for pours from shelf bottles when there were no lines next door at JP. This was my fifth year going and still the only festival I look forward to each year. Keep up the great work.

We appreciate the input. The weather definitely was a downer until you remembered mudvival. It was surprising that some ran out of beer considering it was an increase from last year but the same amount of people. Not sure why, apparently folks drank more?! We work hard to ensure that there are minimal wait times for everything and that there is plenty of space so it's nice that it works out that way.
And as always, you attendees make this festival! Whether good weather or bad, bumps in the road, etc... 99% have the best attitude. It's a top reason we keep doing this, thanks!

Overall a good festival, Ballast Point was out of beer at like 1pm.

Sixpoint had no line all day, guess they didn't have a bacon sour ale?? They did have a cool raspberry jalapeno that was done right.

I would like to see more breweries from off that we don't get to see, but thats just my opinion.

I would like to see a list handed out with at least the style and abv, the list they hand out is pretty shabby at best.

Gate this year worked pretty well, line didn't even reach the bridge, and they precleared again. Bathrooms not an issue as there were plenty. Still not sure if food trucks can ever keep up with a festival, but you get a burger or a piece of pizza pretty instantaneously.

Not sure we are ever going to get good weather again.
