Green Man posted yesterday on FB that Snozzberry will be making a return on St Patrick's Day. They are not sure if it will indeed distro out of the brewery but if it's anything like Bootsy, it's going to be a few select bottle shops in NC. Snozzberry will most likely be one of the toughest beers to acquire this year IMO. Gimme gimmeee gimmee

Hate that it's always a mid week drop. Would have made the drive up there for a weekend release.

A bottle or two of this would really soften the blow of getting shut out on the Red Angel pre-sale. Hell, it would make me forget all about it actually.

I love me some Snozz. Last year I was able to buy a ton of bottles as it sat on shelves for more than a week. I don't see that happening this year.

I'm not going to be able to make it up to this release but I will be heading to the red angel release and have pre purchased 6 bottles, anyone have any interest in making a trade? I'd love to try some snozzberry!!

What ratio are you trying to trade red angel for? Because of the extremely low bottle count on snozz I have to think it's got to be close to 2:1. I could be way off but WW is absolutely absurd trying to charge 20 for a 500ml bottle. Makes green man sours almost seem like a bargain at this rate.

Hmm... Guess I wasn't really thinking 2:1, but I do admit that you make some good points.. I guess I may be way off but I was thinking 1:1 and we'd try and figure out something I could throw in to make up for the volume difference... Also I'm happy to take this out of this thread if this is frowned upon (to discuss trades in a non-trade thread). Thanks!

Yeah, right! Until Green Man starts making beers even close to Wicked Weed's quality, then we can talk. Also, Red Angel is not just another sour by Wicked Weed, it's an equivalent of Lambic. And when they did pre-sale of Red Angel on-line, 150 cases sold out in 30 seconds. Green Man is horribly over-rated.

I'm not saying 1:1 isn't a fair trade between the two, but I certainly wouldn't trade any Snozzberry that I get for a Red Angel straight up. We'll see how they both turn out this time, but the last batch of Snozzberry was a lot better than any beer Wicked Weed has made up to this point and Bootsy was better than almost everything they've done (definitely better than Black Angel). Obviously we'll have to see what Red Angel tastes like before knowing anything for sure, but I'd be shocked if it were better than Snozz.

Green Man's sours are significantly better than Wicked Weed @rmarley.

Try cracking a Crooked Stave Mama Beer or Cherry Origins or even a GM Maceo next to a WW Black Angel, and you would be shocked by how overrated Black Angel is. They aren't even in the same ballpark.

Always classy when someone has a different opinion than you. Maybe that is why you changed your handle.

I will say this though, I do really like Wicked Weed. I frequent Wicked Weed more than Green Man because Green Man never has the sours on tap. If Red Angel is as good if not better than Framboos Morte then it will be up there with the Green Man sours.

Oh yeah most definitely. I'd much rather actually go to or hang out at Wicked Weed. But with these few bottled sours, Green Man knocks it out of the park in a way that WW hasn't done yet with any bottled offerings. I'm sure they will eventually though, whether it's with Red Angel or finally bottling Framboos or whatever.

I've said it ever since I got to try the Funk 49. Greenman makes the best sours in the state. Not bashing the other ones (WW, Natty Greenes, etc) as they are great. Greenman is on a different level in my opinion

I was actually talking about their regular line-up. Wicked Weed's non-sours are better than Green Man's.
