Also... for what it's worth, as I told @jdhowe in a message, here are my thoughts on fresh CBS:

"It's good, but definitely brewed with hype. Would I get it again? Absolutely. Would I go super out of my way? Probably not"

I personally think the only thing that kept it from being a near perfect beer is that it's a little too boozy fresh, and I think that needs a little time to settle. I feel it didn't warm as well as I had hoped either, it kinda stayed "the same". I nursed that 5oz pour over about an hour, just taking small sips while bullshitting with my friend (who got a second pour... lol)

 

Include me in the group BM and I will help as much as I can. What others have said already is great advice. I will add a few things in the BM.

edit: Just wanted to make a comment...Austin's motto is "Keep the weird in Austin" and it does kinda fit. just sayin.

 

I didn't get much of a chance to check this thread during the day today (work is SUCKING) and just figured I would have to read through a couple pages to get caught up tonight. But damn guys, 5 pages today???? Wow. I'm going to have to go part-time at work just so I can keep up with this thread.

Maybe you could work all this it into something nice that you are doing for her. Like maybe take her car and wash it, wax it, and vacuum it out. And guess what... you found your ring while doing that!!! It must have somehow, unknowingly to you, slipped off at some point while riding in the car. The reason it slipped off is because you are losing weight so that you will (continue to?) look like a stud for her. It's all about her right?

Anyway, it will be on the way back to you tomorrow. Had it all boxed up ready to send out today but work got into the way and I didn't get it dropped off. Sorry.

 

Enjoy, I would start with Citra, then Blind Pig. You have many wants, it made it easy to put a box together.

We don't get distro to Blind Pig anymore in SoCal. A friend visited RR and brought a few down.

Can't wait to try them. I'm really excited about the Blind Pig. The only one I've had before is PTE, and it was great. I've heard some people say they like Blind Pig better.

Cannot Wait to get my hands on a Exponential Hopiness, and a Citra. All my trades for citra have fallen through. Persistence will pay off (i hope)

 

Green Man sours are somewhat hard to get if you aren't in Asheville. The fairly limited distro is just so spotty you never know when its going to turn up, and then its gone... Though I hear they make it to Charlotte and Greensboro some (skipping over my town in the process). If I manage to procure some I will let people know (after keeping a bottle for myself... sorry, I've never had it either ).

 

Ditto...I left work early because MORE snow was coming down, my normally-an-hour commute took about three and I just decided to see what I missed... 2 pages in about 5 hours...
