Sure sign of spring in NE Ohio? 3 week old Hop Juju and super fresh Chillwave....yum! Lake Erie may be frozen, and no surfers in sight, but this beer rocks!

Normally, I don't post from the night before but it was my last day at the job I was at for 10 years and I'm moving on to a better opportunity. It was my sister in laws birthday and I pulled out some growlers of good stuff to share with my brother and father.

First was a growler of Carton 077XX. I've had it many times but this particular batch was very aromatic
and those tropical flavors just popped. There was a Kane Head High consumed between the 077XX and the last beer of the night but no picture.

I was shocked to find this on draft for a steal of a price at $16 for the fill, to me it was a sign that this was supposed to be my send off beer for the night to celebrate both a birthday and the start of something new for me. Bourbon County Brand Barleywine and it was amazing!

This is a tasty beer, I'm not usually a fan of FD's Hoppy beers. Yet, this one is a winner for me.

Another day in NJ, another snow storm. Working from home today so decided to crack one open. Was happy when I saw the 4-pack on the shelf for $9, thought it was a mistake. Plus my wife brought home Rogue Stout Caramels from work.

Well, even more snow this morning has scuttled my plans for the day - including dinner plans.

Looks like there's nothing to do now but crack a beer and get cooking.

My goodness; this beer is something special. Fantastic, amazing aroma; easy drinking body; and it tastes like chewing on a grapefruit. Really! My only "complaint" is that there is little Brett showing in the aroma or flavor. I'd be curious to see what a year of age does with this.

    Cheers, BAs!

    Looks delicious. Smart thinking to offset price of beer with Great Value cheese.:}

First Time with this one... It's not great nor is it horrible.

For me to say that the aroma is killer should tell you it's worth the purchase, yet it doesn't deliver a satisfying effect for me. I will say this though: Allagash's 12.7 ounce bottles are shitting on their core line-up.

    Cheers BAs!

Funny how it's only when I'm out east that I finally come across some of these.

With the weather, though, it's fitting I suppose.

    Snow in March. Yes please!
