    Woke up with a sore throat for the 2nd day in a row. Called out of work. The wife had to go to work inspite of the snowy conditions outside. So I'm at home trying to feel better. Might as well have a beer. Despite some previously bad reviews I'm enjoying my pre-noon beer.

    Paying tribute to my final couple of Slams with this Throwback Thursday salute to the 'old days'. While it was a cool can, the idea of all that high octane hop fuel in a large container that had to be consumed rather quickly after opening probably wasn't the best. I remember taking one to a tasting and opening it about half way through, which wasn't a good idea as most people were reaching their limit. Not to let good beer go to waste, I drank most of it myself! Needless to say, I was relieved when Bells quit producing them the following year, in the event I should have another momentary lapse of reason.

    Cheers to memories and lessons learned!
