Surly Abrasive Release Info

This is exactly what I did and Gary could not have been more accommodating, not only did he give me a fresh 4pack in exchange for what I had left from a 1-13 batch but also a personal tour of the new facility. First class customer service, well done Surly I came away with the impression that you truly care about your patrons.

 

Drinking a 2/6 right now zero issues thru 3 4-pks with this batch... agree with above post @GaryNicholas, Surly has taken care of issues above and beyond IMO

 

I haven't read the whole thread so apologize if I'm saying the same thing everyone else has.

Looks like the ones I received are in the problem zone, they are all from 1/13. 3 of the 5 I've drank so far have been pretty bad. The 2 good ones have been just as great as I remember them to be. I traded my stash of BCBS for this and now what looks to be the majority of the ones I received are terrible.

While it's cool the brewery is making it up to you local guys, it really sucks for those of us who traded.

 

Fill out the support form on Surly's website. They can't replace your beer, but they may find other ways to make it up to you.

 

Same here. I believe there are issues out there. However, I think some of them are beer hypochondria.

Bringing back an older thread, Surly just released Blakkr. Does anyone know if the issue with the canning line has been identified or corrected? Not sure if I want to order some online if there is still a carbonation issue.

Haven't had Blakkr yet this year, but I'm still drinking Abrasive and haven't run into a single bad can thus far.

 

Likewise. All cans have been stellar, though all have been the 2/6/15 canning as well (on my 3rd 4pk).

 

If you can't get enough of the 01/09/15 canning, Apple Valley #1 is your place.

 

Anybody know any place in dsm that still has abrasive?

 

Last place I saw it was at Urbandale Hy-vee behind the counter. That was at least a week ago though.
