Well it is a milk stout actually, and yes I can taste the food perfectly.
The sweetness of the stout, bold and spicyness of the cigar, the tangy/saltiness and richness of the hummus, and the earthy sharp cheese actually all balanced each other out perfectly. I was weary at first but it all came together just fine

 

I suspect my sense of humor will get old quick. At least that's what my family tells me... (I actually don't even know what I said).
