    So let's see...
    1. GI Stoutfest
    2. Hunahpu Day
    3. KBS Week festivities
    4. St. Patrick's Day celebrations
What else am I missing? Does that mean DLD tickets may take more than 30 seconds to sell out?

Don't underestimate the power of 50,000+ moms hammering the server for otherwise engaged neckbeards...

This was my first thought. So the question is, do I head for one of the popular beers at noon, hoping for a smaller line, or get online myself?

    Decisions...

I spoke to someone at the ticket site for this year's sales and they will not be using the queue system. It's back to hitting refresh it looks like. I honestly really liked the queue, but there is something satisfying about hitting refresh and getting in. Makes you feel like you accomplished something.

Does this mean tickets will also be available at the brew pub that day, as well, or are they sold on a different day there?

No, but feel free to show up every Sunday thereafter and laugh at the people camping the door just in case....

Disclaimer: I enjoy going to Dark Lord Day, and intend to try to get tickets for this year's event. If I don't get tickets, I will carry on with my life and hold no grudge against Three Floyds.

Now - it's time to sit back and sift through "hate" post after "hate" post, both now (ticket price complaints) and after (ticket system complaints, etc).

That's how I can tell spring is coming...

It's random and they may not even sell them in person. If they see people camping, they probably won't do it.

That's sort of what I figured. I thought in years past they sold the tickets at the pub on a different day than the online general sale. So probably not a lot of sense in driving to Indiana this weekend.

I'm going to try and get tickets, but may need to be out of town on business. Would I be able to transfer the tickets to a friend's name if I can't make it?

No, you'd be outta luck. The person whose name is on the tickets must be present (unless you're the buyer's +1).

Does your friend have the same name that you do? Then yes, you can.
