    Sure signs of spring.....

Melting snow and ice, emerging flowers, and

    EISBOCK!

    Happy Tuesday, BA's!

Only 10 more days until spring "officially" arrives......hang in there!

    Cheers!

From last night: Uinta Hop Nosh - I don't remember the hoppiness being that intense last time I tried it. Walks right up to the line of being overbearing without ever crossing it (as opposed to Green Flash West Coast IPA, which plays hopscotch with it).

It really stinks having satellite internet. It is the worst so this is what I had again the other day at Luminous Brewhouse!

    A nice clean tasty Kolsch!

Good morning BAs! Today's brew is O'Fallons King Louie Winter Stout. It's a stout apparently with added toffee, but their website doesn't acknowledge its existence, at least not that I could find. And somewhere between my camera chip and computer file, the jpeg disappeared. Where's Rod Serling when you need him? Anyway, IMHO, this stout is overpriced at
$ 1.79/12 oz bottle - ugly, thin, and my lips are sticky.

Couple of nice sours last night (AV Blood Orange Gose, and Jolly Pumpkin Calabaza Blanca). Brew day today. Have a ST Grand Arbor and GF Citra Session on deck (along with some homebrews) for the project with Jens4212. Trying out our new burner and counterflow chiller (built on Sun) for another first, a 10g all-grain batch. Wish us luck!

overall, it was a pretty decent beer. maybe i dove into it too cold, but i didn't get a great deal of "winter warming" qualities & effects - there was definitely some subtle spicing, but nothing way out front. to be honest, it struck me as a solid thirst quencher that would be great with lunch. being fair, bottle is already out in the recycle bin but i remember there was only like a week or so left on the recommended "enjoy by date". not sure if time played into the softened spicing, that was my first ever. @ $1.50, i ain't mad & would certainly enjoy another.
