Yeah. Don't really get why it's such a dead zone. Only things around are this (next year), that BevMo, Beverage Warehouse, Yard House and I guess Tripel or Wurstkuche in either direction. It's building, but lots of room for things to grow on that stretch.

If we go just a few years back, the only one in the area was Beverage Warehouse.

So at least the trend is headed in our direction

I can already see how packed this place will be the moment it opens up! LA has been thirsty and brewery underserved imo for too long (historically, get's better every year, and thankfully the last few years have seen so many welcomed new breweries and beer bars) and this will be another welcomed addition. Happy to have them so much closer, though their distribution around here is already really strong... I still see myself going to Buelton on occasion for barrel works though.

super excited for this to launch. i loved living in santa barbara and taking a 30 min drive to barrelworks. I believe they will bring some stuff down from barrelworks for this room, but it wont be as broad of a selection.

Hope that's the case, even if only for on-site consumption only, but I had thought barrels works beers were remaining exclusive to Buelton? I haven't been to Paso Robles in a while, do they even carry barrel works there? Though I have seen some of these on tap at some bars, like Argestic for example was on at Conregation in Pasadena late last year, so maybe.

no. no barrelworks in Paso as barrelworks opened after the paso tasting room was up and running for years already. they just didnt feel the need to bring any up as it drew customers to the newly renovated tasting room and restaurant in buellton - which is smart marketing.

i think it will be a lot easier for them to bring barrelworks stuff into a new spot than it would be to take it to an older, already established location. and yeah, just occasional stuff. they still want to keep barrelworks its own special thing.

I am expecting that well still have to drive up for releases. Didn't they initially send some BW stuff to Paso and stopped at some point? Wouldn't be surprised if bottles showed up here and there bit I wouldn't expect it to be reliable.

Usually just 1-2 sour offerings at Paso and none of real special ones(like SLOambic). The Visitor Center(old tasting room) has Agrestic and the Taproom restaurant has Lil Opal on currently. Kinda frustrating for those of us in Paso area that have been going there for years. I miss the old days of walking in and seeing speciality beers like saucerful of secrets or parabola(before it was bottled)on tap only in Paso. I know #firstworldproblems.

i'm going to be stoked, as everyone is. despite FW having strong distro here, it is a drag that you can't find more fresh IPAs. this location will change that at least in the form of growler fills, and hopefully more fresh bottles and cans too. i suspect for the opening they will have an epic list. can't wait
