    I live in a state considered in the Mountain region, but who's culture identifies more with NW.

    Minneapolis,MN but a native Floridan Minneapolis has seen a huge growth in distro since 2008 and a huge brewpub scene in the last 2 years a great beer destination IMO

    Seems like most people who regularly enjoy beer become more physically dense (primarily a willfully obscure reference to beer bellies, but mental density has been known to occur as well - after all, there aren't many references to guys wearing juice goggles!).

    With a BA (not a beeradvocate by the way) in sociology, perhaps the psychology of the average beeradvocate could be considered as well....personally I'm a pavlovian....I hear a cap or cork pop and I instantly start to salivate!

    But I have lived and enjoyed beer in New England and Mid-Atlantic as well while a BA.
