    And we're off..

Happy New Year, and welcome to the inaugural year of the Brewers’ Intent! We are excited to have you on board, and are looking forward to sending lots of goodies your way. Below are some details/clarifications on benefits and perks, as well as a schedule of what to expect. A quick note on perks - apologies to those of you who have been in this past week and may not have received the full deal. We were still communicating details with staff, and over the holidays we were mostly just trying to keep our heads above water. If you missed out on anything, please let me know and I will do my best to make it up to you.

    Perks/Benefits:
    • Free custom limited edition growler - available in March
    • Free special edition merchanside - available no later than Fall 2015
    • 10% off merchandise purchase, both in-house and online (online store will be launched in February 2015)
    • 10% off on-premise beer sales.
      • By on-premise, we are referring to both pints for drinking and bottle sales for taking home at the brewpub. This is where messaging likely got confusing or mixed up during the last week. Again, please let me know if you missed out!
    • 6 specialty barrel-aged bottles
    • Access to purchase additional bottles on line and have them shipped.

    Upcoming Schedule:
    • January 31: Membership cards will go out to everyone for ease of use when you come visit. Until then, or in case you don’t have it with you, we will have a full list of members behind the bar, so just let your server or bartender know your name and that you are a member, and we’ll take care of you from there.
    • February 15: Emails will be sent out to everyone with a username and password to login to the members only website. From the website you will be able to access your profile to change you password, enter shipping preferences, purchase merchandise, etc.
    • March 1: The first shipment will be announced and ready to go. The first shipment will include one of the barrel-aged varieties, plus the specialty growler. Depending on yields (you never know with barrel aged products), you may be able to purchase additional bottles of the first release, as well as other styles we have available, including Eclipse if it has not yet sold out.
    • May 1, September 1, November 1: These are the dates of additional releases, with products and details TBD.

We welcome any feedback and/or questions you may have. This is our first go around with this program, and want it to be the best possible experience that we can provide. Thanks for being a part of it!

    Cheers!

nice, didn't see an email update.

... take that back, saw it. thing was sneaky

If anyone would mind being my trustee please BM me... Not sure I can make it down in under 30 days. For some reason I was expecting them to hold onto stuff longer.

Below is the first allocation. Cherry Annularity sounds interesting, as long as it's not actually tart. I wasn't a fan of HW Single Malt Eclipse.

    Cherry Annularity

Barrel Aged Blond Barleywine Brewed With Tart Cherries

Layered complexity with warming alcohol. Barrel aged oak notes and cherry play off of each other but one is reminded this isn't a fruit beer as much as it is a Barleywine. Oak tannin, hop character and cherry all intermingle as the beer warms. Fun beer to sip and ponder Winter with a promise of Spring time just around the corner...

2014 Eclipse - High West Single Malt

    Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

This is an Eclipse for those who love heavily peated Scotch. Super smokey and peaty, roasted malts, oak, charcoal, cream, vanilla, and moderate carbonation. More of an outlier in the Eclipse flavor profile spectrum, but delicious in it’s own right, especially for those with a good appreciation of Scotch.

HW Single Malt... Brown Wax... totally disgusting. I'll put that in as an extra to someone I'm trading with... guh. :slight_frown:

We're also getting the 2L growler!

I'm sure they had a lot left from what I saw after the party.

Couldn't agree more, I was not a fan of this variant at all. Still pretty cool we are getting an unannounced bottle.

That cherry annularity looks so damn intriguing. Can't wait to tick. Anyone think we'll be given the option to buy a second when the website goes live?

What we are thinking is that they will have discounted bottles of Eclipse that didn't sell. I really couldn't imagine people wanting to buy them if there are so many left over.

Couldn't agree more on this one. Foul. I had hard time not pouring mine out, but I forced it down because I didn't want to waste a $20+ bottle. Unfortunately I still have one left.

I have not tried this one, but perhaps the Single Malt will do better with age....

Make sure you add the member bottle and member growler to your cart even if you don't purchase anything else.
