Glad everything got there safely. I included the Hopslam b/c I remember reading on the forum you didn't buy any this year. The Abyss (please enjoy after the date on the bottle) and BCS Coffee (I had to trade for it) were both on your want list. The Abduction and Game of Jones are both recently brewed beers and are both solid stouts. I included the Gravedigger Billy as a bottle for your barrel aged collection. I bought that at the brewery after sampling it myself and really enjoying it. Cheers!

If you think I only have 1 bottle side aside for you, then that solves the situation I had written down 2 but then looked and noticed that you didn't actually say that anywhere

 

Appreciate the thought that went into it! Yeah, my "wants" on here are more "perma-wants" of things I've had, and a very small number of things I've not had that I'd like to try... that said, Abyss and BCBCS are both things I'd love more of. Also, as much as I'd love to try The Abyss fresh, I've pretty much heard across the board that it's best with at least a year on it, so I'd rather not "waste" it, so I'm definitely going to wait a bit before opening it. That said, most (if not all) of the bombers will see at least two people drinking them (really the only bombers I drink solo are super time-sensitive stuff) as I like to share larger format, even if it's with friends who don't always go out of their way to look for really good beer (their hospitality and company is always enough to convince me to open a few things with them)

Definitely sit on the Abyss. I had this years version fresh because a body is impatient but I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity. It just doesn't compare to what it becomes after sitting on it a while.

Looks like my package is en route. It was easy....I just picked it up from fedex (after the $&@*^!! "heard liquid in a damn styro shipper with plenty of packing material....) and then dropped it off at my friendly local UPS store and it's on its merry way to....... Should arrive Friday I was told

+1 the longer you wait the better it gets. Had 09 (draft) a few months ago and it was incredible.

 

That best after date drives me nuts on the Abyss bottle... they should just brew it, sit on it at the brewery until the "best after" date, and then sell it, when it's actually ready to drink...

 

VBS. The rumors are not true about '15 Sucaba. This is drinking just fine...

First time ive ever found be hoppy at a bottle shop... my guess is they are settled in at their new brewery and hopefully ill start seeing it more often. oh and that beer on the left.. just seemed like a good choice.
