Damn. After not checking BA all day since I was flying to Seattle, I had to catch up on like 5 pages and even more #datglasses and CBS's.

Then I get an email from UPS that a package will be delivered Friday from a sender in Ontario, CA. After spending 5 minutes trying to figure out which one of the Locals is from there, I realize it's a shipment from Amazon...

I have a bottle of that Fort George Black Sands (courtesy of @HoppySeb as well from a prior round). I can honestly say that one of the best IPAs that I'd never heard of was 3-way IPA with Fort George, Boneyard, and Block 15, so I know they make good beer (though it'd be really tough to screw up an IPA with Boneyard involved). Can't wait to crack open that Black Sands!

Fort George is solid. I liked Black Sands a lot - I wouldn't call it world class but its a pretty solid brew. Don't expect too much coconut, but the nutty and base stout flavors shine through. Ft George also does a really popular stout called Cavatica (its on cans) and they just released a BA version of it. I am not a fan of that one - I get a metallic/soy saucy flavor, and my rule of thumb is not to send stuff I don't like. People here really love it though, so if any of you want to try it - happy to send.

3-way - i'm really hoping they make that again. In theory its a yearly collab that changes every year but I heard rumors that they are thinking about making the same brew this year due to its massive success. Last year, those 4 packs were on shelves in vast quantities at first - then people caught on and it was selling out within hours. I probably drank well over 30 of those throughout the summer.

Looking for opinion on Eclipse and the variants. Are they worth the 30$ bottle price? are some better and more sought after than others? I see them frequently, but they usually only have a couple of the colors and they seem to have been on the shelf for awhile.

If you can split it with someone, i'd say go for it.

My favorites have been Four Roses, Elijah Craig 12 and Evan Williams 23. I also had the Spanish Rum, Java and Vanilla Java and didn't think they were worth the hefty price tag (although I paid $23 for most of 'em in CA).

Ive had a couple of the variants, again, I pay around 23-25 a pop, they sell out pretty fast, wasn't able to get the Elijah 12 this year, have one from last year and I have a 2013 and 2014 4 roses. They are good/great but again depends on your budget.

Well seeing as i just bought this years season tickets to the patriots my budget is prettyyy tight.. but if i had a dollar for everytime a fellow BA went over their beer budget ... well i wouldnt need a budget.

So based on you and hoppyseb, it seems like 4 roses, Craig, and williams are the ones i should buy if presented the opportunity. Buying the complete set is just not an option lol so i have to pick and choose.

I was in Portland for the week of 4th of July and my BIL (who's a huge craft beer guy as well) was saying that 3-way was arguably the best IPA out in Portland at the time. And that's -really- saying something considering I was drinking it right next to Barley Brown's and Boneyard's offerings. I certainly couldn't argue though, was pretty awesome.

You can't get arrested unless it's in kentucky state statute that shipping alcohol is illegal thru the state by private citizens w/o a permit or license to do so. I believe it is federal law only in regards to the post office, it becomes a federal offense. Federally if your package was seized and never made it out of kentucky, delivered per ups or fedex, and it wasn't in their state statute they can't arrest you or cite you. The individual companies may try to shut down your account due to violating their policies. Most ppl that shipped usps just got a letter.
