If you have that space and money, maybe some used Market store style refrigerators with the clear doors always look nice.

I've actually been looking into that but choices on Craigslist have been sparse and prices are out of the range I'd be willing to go for storage. The temp control would be a "nice to have" but it's not necessary since my basement in MN stays a pretty constant 50 throughout the year.

I recently had a chance to convert an unfinished under staircase closet into a cellar. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, but I need to do a little tweaking on the sliding drawer at the bottom.

Dude - you have 14 cases of beer on the floor. My first suggestion is -THROW A PARTY!

Oh man. That quantification just opened my eyes to the fact "Holy crap I've got a lot of beer!" Unfortunately I'm still new to MSP and haven't met too many people to share with. Thus my purchases have been outpacing my consumption. The regular delivery of cases of ZD from my in-laws isn't helping either. Calling on MN BAs to help clear space...

Try using the Midwest regional forum to see if there any bottle shares being formed. Or maybe consider starting your own. Good way to meet new people, too.

It is tough having a beer cellar in a one bedroom condo. I thought the wine cooler fridge would be enough ...

being from Cali and seeing your bottles right up to the edge makes me a little nervous. i wouldn't loose bottle on the top shelves of those racks & would def. consider buying bungee cable type cords to run at least 1 around the perimeter of each shelf to help prevent tipping off the edge/sides. otherwise, sweet set-up.

Haven't tried aging that one specifically but I find that I like doppelbocks with some age on them. Keep in mind that cellaring needs to be done below fermentation temp for best results so lagers need to be a bit cooler. But I've tried aging Sam Adams doppelbock, bells consecrator and various German ones with positive results. Experimenting with jacks Abby saxonator right now.

Upgraded today with one of those freezer less fridges. Now I need a thermostat to keep the temp at 50. Any suggestions on a decent one thermostat?

I can't help but notice that Southern Tier Cuvee #2. Any chance you'd trade it? That was the beer my wife and I drank many years ago, before we moved, and we saved a few bottles for when we moved, when we bought our house. It would blow her mind if I got one.
