I received this box from UPS Store Chicago, not sure who sent it.

 

So this isn't Locals related but the person who sent me this box sure would fit in around here, maybe he should check things out and think about participating in this madness?? My first BIF was the New Beer Sunday one that started back in December. Over the course of that BIF one of the guys participating, @2beerdogs , mentioned that he wanted to try Nugget Nectar. I shot him a message and let him know that after the BIF was over I would hook him up. I ended up sending a fresh 4 pack of NN cans and two other Troegs beer as extras. Due to weather constraints it took him a little while to get me back, no big deal really as good things come to those who wait:

It's almost the same way here (and I'm in Founder's backyard). One of the stores here was taking a 2 bottle limit reserve yesterday on Facebook. I asked to be put on the reservation list literally two minutes after they had posted it on FB and was denied.

 

This shit is worse with acronyms than we are!

 

Sometimes it seems better to be entirely outside the footprint, at least then people will assume you did not get any and you might get one in a BIF or as an extra; and it doesn't feel quite so weird trading for it directly that way.

 

I have a couple secret KBS spots here in NH. Also helps that I know the Founders rep working for the distributor.

I'm done with chasing it. I think it's solid, but not outstanding. There are many other beers out there that are as good. If one or two falls my way this year, I'll take it. If I get one, I promised a friend who is pregnant (and due in early April) and has the initials KBS the bottle since if you aren't in the know you can't get it. If I get two bottles, I will probably gift it in a BIF of some sort to someone who hasn't had it (hopefully).
