Don't anyone tell you otherwise, you still have corn and agricultural products.

They have plenty of great beer. Loved the stuff from Madhouse I have received and excited that 515 is filling growlers soon. Want to get my hands on some of their stuff.

Sure. It's different in the same way BCS Rare is different from BCS, Black Gold is different from CW16, 3F Golden Blend is different from 3F Oude Gueuze.

I'm not advocating for an alias situation here; the brewery has branded it as a different product than Assassin. It is kind of annoying that they used the exact same name as a different beer that they produced previously that was not barrel aged and contained vanilla beans, but I'm just a lowly editor on a beer website, so what do I know?

And you still have coked out Wall Street douchebags and a dying art scene.

Precisely my point. Different beers. Glad we agree.

    Why is it "annoying?"
Guess I don't know why it matters what the name of the beer is?
You made a great point, black gold isn't called CW 16

Giving two somewhat related but appreciably different products the same name is confusing and is also annoying from a database management perspective. Why the heck just not call this release SR-72? It looks like it will be a pretty cool plane.

Darkness Day... Bottle Shares... MN bottle releases... Special Tappings.... These all seem to bring out the best in the BA community...

Yet TG seems to always bring out the worst... Secrecy, Butt hurt, Horrible (and stupidly cryptic) tweets...

It's a weird "coincidence" that every TG thread is a shit show.

Then don't read the forums or drink TG beers, seems pretty simple to me.

If that's your opinion, you've clearly never been to D-Day or most MN bottle releases.

I still had a great time, but the reformation of the line last year at Darkness Day was unlike anything I'd seen before. Been attending every year since 2010.

I've been there every year since 2008. The fun to be had & the generosity of people in line is like nothing else I've experienced in the beer kingdom.

And yeah, the line collapse this year was pretty awful, but that doesn't have anything to do with damning all MN beer events as "the worst" as the poster above you did.

    Then s
Then shouldn't the description say: Norsemans Wrath aged in Pappy Van Winkle barrels ?? If they are different beers with the same base beer, I don't know why one would be included in the description of the other..

Because that's not a very meaningful description, as almost no one has ever tried Norseman's Wrath.

Assassin = Norseman's Wrath aged in bourbon barrels (sometimes PVW barrels)
SR-71 = Assassin with additional aging time (exclusively in PVW barrels)

I could write that Cable Car is a blend of different Amigo Lager vintages aged in wine barrels with wild yeast, but that's a similarly pointless piece of information.
