I'm shocked there is not a thread about the big de garde drop that happened. Pettit azacca was awesome.
A few shops also got Tableau Rouge yesterday/today. I just grabbed two bottles. I'm looking forward to trying it.
$7 for Hop Bu at Tin Bucket yesterday, they only had three bottles left on the shelf when i left at 10 so likely gone at this point but FYI
Pretty much the same price as the tasting room. $7 for the Bu variants and $8 for the Petit. Also tried Tableau Rouge last night. Not my favorite de Garde beer ever, but it's pretty damn good.
They already know. Just count the out-of-state license plates in the parking lot at the next De Garde event.
Every time I have hop bu I think "why do people go apeshit over the fruited stuff when this devine nectar exists?"
I used to think the same thing every time I had a bottle of Hose, or Spears, or one of their gorgeous tart saisons. I used to try and tell people how good all their other beers are. But you know what? No more. De Garde is no longer an obscure unknown quantity in beer geekdom, and people have had plenty of time to educate themselves. If they want to focus all their efforts on fruited Bu Weisses, let 'em. More De Garde saisons and hoppy wild ales for me. (BTW: Make sure we also tell everyone that all their boysenberry beers are overrated. Wouldn't want those beauties to fall into the wrong hands.)
