Wasn't singling you out at all. I've gone the past few years, and there's always people who get all nervous and worried. There's just no reason for it. In terms of bottle sharing, only bring what you personally want to drink. Don't try to impress anyone.

The one good tip I will share is to put some sunscreen on your face in the morning. DLD sun burns are legit.

I've heard horror stories of folks taking their beer out to their cars and returning to the party only to later return to their car and find it broken into with all of the beer stolen. Is this a legit concern? Do they have people patrol or at least "try" to watch the lot?

Is this where they had DL '11, '12, and '13 for sale last year? Do they have other bombers too?

Isolated incidents, I think. If you're really worried, rent a car with a separate trunk instead of a hatchback like most SUVs have.
Yes. As far as other bombers, probably Dreadnaught, APW, and whatever other bombers they have bottled at the time.

I haven't heard of this being a huge issue. There are quite a lot of folks around and doesn't seem like it would go well for the person breaking in to cars. I did hear about a throat slasher, but not car break ins.

Yes and yes. All the to-go beer is in the same building.

The more I read about this, the more excited I get. Even though my pickup group is E, I am thinking it might be good to get there a bit earlier than planned and enjoy most of the day that I can. Sounds like we can party it up where we park too (possibly), so that sounds great.

The best advice I can offer to maximize fun is to find people with empty cups, walk up and offer them pours. Good things usually happen after.

No problem @tj42 I was just acknowledging it. I am ex-military, and that mindset of preparation and "mission intelligence" has stuck with me all these years later, sometimes to a fault.

Whew, ok throat slashing is cool as long as no one steals my Dark Lord

I sure hope the "bring beer in" thing gets straightened out too. Would be nice to pack my stainless growler full of DRIPA and a bunch of bottles and share away. They would also come in handy in a long allotment pickup line.

More common is theft of Dark Lord because you put you bag down, turn away to bottle share, and someone swipes it.

Yes, you can. I do this almost every year in the middle of the afternoon to take a break. Usually take a nap, eat a little bit of food and just chill out for an hour or so. Last year we hung out in the back of my buddies truck and jammed some music, cracked open a couple bottles and just relaxed for a little bit.

Get on Amazon and get a folding hand truck for $30. Best money you'll spend. Humping 2 cases and 8 bombers 3/4 of a mile to your car is NO FUN. Trust me.
