At risk of being cliched or something I have to go with Lagunitas. It is a basic, but very well made "correct" WC style IPA. It's easy to find and available in every liquor store, grocer, and most 7-11s and gas stations. You can often find it for 7.99 a sixer.

I agree... DFH 60 min is also a good "par" IPA. One I have no problems with having them readily available in my fridge.

You either are a very very good golfer or don't golf at all. Par for me (and a vast majority of weekend golfers) is an excellent score.

    Odell IPA

If they can make an IPA year-round this dang good, I say that's my "par" IPA.

I haven't golfed in a very long time, but par is what's expected from a scratch golfer. Now, getting to scratch a gopher is a whole different thing. I just get confused when people call very good beers average, and average beers bad. And, please replace your divot.

Hoplicious by Ale Asylum. It was the first IPA where the taste just clicked for me and I have never looked back.

Gotta go with Lagunitas. Love it though.

I second that. A scratch golfer is not "average".

I know this may be shocking, but I don't have one. I like IPA's and tend to order them when I go out drinking (actually, more like DIPAs and IIIPAs), but I don't buy them for home because I don't drink them quick enough (keep them fresh).

If push came to shove, it would probably be a Alpine, SN, Stone, Lagunitas, or Firestone. All Cali all of the time!

La Cumbre Elevated IPA is my standard. With a few exceptions (Marble IPA, Santa Fe Happy Camper) an IPA has to be better than Elevated for me to even bother with it. I'm pretty much happy to drink this IPA and no others.
