This probably means that you are in a sports bar watching a game or two. I've never been a fan of the light beers. If I am going with pitchers, I like regular Bud, Stella, Pabst, and Labatt's Blue. If I am with a group of people, pitchers are very affordable, and the beers I've listed are not offensible.

When I come home, I'll usually crack open a DIPA or two as a night cap.

Usually I prefer Miller Lite over the other two "big name" lagers (Coors, Bud). Going the cheaper route, I don't mind PBR or Hamms.

My favorite lagers (Pilsners) on tap:

Sly Fox: Tettnang Keller Pils, Standard Pils, Charles Bridge Pilsner, 2nd Street Pils,

Victory: Hip Czech, Braumeister Pils – Sladek, Braumeister Pils – Hallertauer Mittelfruh, Braumeister Pils – Saaz, Braumeister Pils – Tettnang

    Cheers!

Had a Nooner Pilsner on tap in a gloriously inappropriate imperial pint glass at a hipster bowling alley recently. As for BMC options only, I'd rather drink a lite version of Bud or Coors than their *cough* full-flavored counterparts. Less taste - slightly less offensive. And it's usually gonna be served ice cold. So no harm no foul. But I couldn't tell you the last time that happened. I have two small kids at home. When daddy finds time to go out, it's not usually gonna be wasted on crap beer.

If I'm really watching an entire game or two, then something like Pilsner Urquell, Boston Lager, Oskar Blues pils, or any pils from Sierra Nevada. If there's a helles on (slim chance) I'd pick that. If there's any lager from Notch on (rare) that also be a top choice.

Period? Augustiner Lagerbier Hell or Keesmann Herren Pils.

That I can actually find? Boston Lager and Copper Kettle's Helles are both nice.

I'm confused as it seems the OP was interested in a discussion about light mass-produced lagers based on his/her post, although the title indicates differently.

But to answer the title of the thread: Marble Pilsner is my favorite lager on tap locally.

In terms of what is realistically available at the places that show 6 nations rugby, it's probably going to be Brooklyn Lager, Sam Adams, or if needed, Stella

When out on the East Coast, I always make it a point to look and see if they have Yuengling Traditional Lager on tap. If they don't have that, then Boston Lager is good too.

If looking for lighter lagers though, then I just usually go with Coors Light or Bud Light. I would see what else they have though before going with either of these. They are kind of a last option when at the bar.
