    Reminder to all.

We've only done 2 big rounds, and we are approaching our 1 year anniversary.

Thing is, the way we've been doing it, 120-200oz IS a "small" round, and 350-500+ is a "big" round. As huge as those boxes are in "big" rounds, that's why I'm suggesting doing them infrequently.

Good point, I guess I should say "continuing to do them infrequently" or even "do them even less frequently"

It's ok, because Insanity is a much better beer. Also their new release, Sunday Morning Stout, has started off with some strong reviews.

Wasn't the last "big" round... minimum 144oz "maximum" 250? I don't recall 100% perfectly and could easily go back and find it, but now that you mention it it seems like our "small" rounds have made the original "big" rounds seem... not so big anymore lol

Most people ended up sending porch crushing 300+oz boxes, but I think mine ended up running around 230 or so, and I do believe there were a few other boxes on the smaller side... on this whole note the way small rounds have been working, I'm actually on board for keeping the locals to mostly smaller rounds with a "true porch crushing required" round every once in a while, maybe once a year -- I feel like it makes it easier to keep boxes more personal AND frequent, and with the amount of LIFs going on, and the other travelling boxes, I feel like larger rounds are somewhat less necessary now...

I need to stop thinking and just drink a beer

I think you nailed it on the guidelines for our first round, and a few people went over, but for the most part I don't think most were excessive (lots in the 300-320 range, a few up around 400 -- I actually had tracked that at one point). And I think we started the smaller rounds specifically because folks didn't want to feel obligated to send monster boxes, but what started as a 6-pack round changed to "the equivalent of 6 25 oz bottles" and from there went to "150 oz max which most people ignore, although most seem to stay in the 200 oz range".

Yes, 144oz was the previous minimum and the max was around that, but I'm talking about the reality of what happens.

Anyway, what you're saying is exactly what I'm getting at. I do like the concept of a "locals" themed porch destroyer round, but only for once in a while. Stout IV and others outside the thread are generally porch crushers, and a lot of us like doing those too.

The sad thing is that the way the thread is going, frequent small rounds, might have been right up the alley of the OP, had we not scared him off... unless our definition of "small" is still larger than he'd have been in for

And then I got yelled at when I tried to rein it back in :flushed:

In OTHER news, as @wheelzntoys alluded to, there's been a #pickitupformebro delivery today. What he failed to mention is that my porch is in shambles as a result of his complete lack of ability to count.

Modern Times Booming Rollers - I've loved everything MT that I've had, and a Citra IPA is right up my alley. Already in the fridge
    Pliny - Permawant
Bootlegger's Brewery Knuckle Sandwich - Never heard of it, but a CA DIPA sounds good
Drake's Hopocalypse - Haven't had much from them, but this one sounds great
Logsdon Peche n Brett - One of my first "big wants" and it has not faded from the top of my list in a year, so happy to finally have this (if you can't tell, this was the #pickitupforme)
Knee Deep Lupulin River - Heard great things about these guys, looking forward to my first
Almanac Golden Gate Gose - Will fit in nicely with the gose tasting I'm building (now if only I knew anyone else within a hundred miles that likes gose.... anybody?)
Mikkeller Beer Geek Vanilla Shake x2 - Another specific request, one for me to flesh out my horizontal, the other for someone else in here (you know who you are)
Prairie Apple Brandy Noir - Completes another horizontal, the other specific request

Somehow 11 looked like 4 to Jose :astonished: ... thank you so much, I'm really looking forward to my fridge full of hops and these big Wants!
