Looks like I just missed Notorious being on tap.. was wondering how often it is on Draught? Like once a year, once a month, etc.

    Thanks for the input

Are you talking about at the Bend brewery?

Yeah, your post is a bit confusing, but I'll try to respond.

Boneyard now makes it several times a year, and when they do, you can typically find it at the brewery (growler sales), as well as better beer bars in Oregon and Washington. I could be wrong about this, but I don't think it gets distributed outside the NW. It's not bottled, and outside of the brewery, not many places will sell growlers of it.

Notorious was at Cigar City last weekend, but other than that and some random kegs in San Francisco and San Diego it's Oregon and Western WA only.

It seems to be brewed four or fives times a year. Burgundian and Engine House No. 9 both had it on last week.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. Thought it was only sold at the brewery. I live on the east coast and would be looking to trade for a growler. So the actual location of the beer is sorta a non issue. Just was trying to figure out how long I would have to wait till the next batch.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

There is not a set rotation, but they usually post taplists on facebook. Might just want to keep your eyes peeled.

A quick search through Facebook shows the times they posted they had it in the last year were:
    • March 13, 2015
    • February 21, 2015
    • December 22, 2014
    • September 24, 2014
    • August 29, 2014
    • June 12, 2014
    • May 21, 2014
    • March 6, 2014
So looks like 8 times in the passed year. Id check in end of April, or beginning of May.

I also apparently have way too much time on my hands.

They do fills at the brewery, but most other places that get it aren't always willing to do fills. The last three years it's been on tap at the brewery over Memorial Day weekend.

I won't say which one but I went into a growler station that had Notorious on tap and asked if they were filling growlers of it. The guy laughed and said "Yeah but it would be something like $86". I told him I'd gotten fills for $20 in town before and he just looked confused after that. So yeah, its getting harder to find fills of it in Portland.

This thread is about 2-3 weeks late.

Seems like all the triple IPAs were floating around for a while there. Pfirem, Safe Word, Notorious, Super Slapper, Tank Slapper, Younger, etc.

Tap and Growler has it on tap right now in Eugene. Price has gone up a bit from last time, but it's still a very affordable $20 for a 64 ounce fill. When Growler Nation has it on tap, they charge $16.99.

That almost sounds like an Apex price, but I don't believe they do growler fills.

Surprised to see it's still on at Tin Bucket. I had it there last Friday. That's one nice thing about doing no growler fills.

May also want to keep an eye on thegrowlerguys.com too. They only do 32oz fills, but it's another place that consistently gets Notorious.

From looking over your place reviews, I get the impression you're out in the SEPA/Philly area. It's unfortunate, of course, that you don't get Boneyard or Barley Brown stuff, but I'd hardly say you're hurting for good beer out where you live. Granted, I don't think there's anything out there quite like Notorious (some of the HF DIPA's are the closest thing I've ever sampled), but even so... I'm guessing you can probably "get by" on what you have out where you live.

Hop Venom is where it's at.

Yeah I LOVE me the Hill Farmstead collection. And yes you would be correct on my location. I've had the single and double IPA from Boneyard, which I enjoyed quite a bit. So just want to try the triple for comparison.

Agreed. Had it on tap at Belmont Station the other day and was loving it more than I remembered in the past. They've always been good, but it seems like the most recent batches of Hop Venom and Notorious have been really exceptional. Better than any PtY or PtE I've had in town lately.
