What is up with the time stamp on this site?

    I have posted numerous beers and other general forum posts on here and the time stamp is always several hours ahead. I live on the East coast, have my time stamp set accordingly and yet every time I post it shows that I am posting much later than the actual hour I have posted. Pardon if this has been addressed in the past, but I could not find anything to relate to my question.

    They use GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

    I even tried to move it forward and it still wasn't correct. Just wondering. I posted several beers on several days I wanted to be posted on a certain day. And it was not all that late and it posted the next day, just wondered. Thanks! Maybe I should set my time to GMT!

    Any chance this will be corrected in 2017? It really does make things difficult.

    There's nothing for us to correct. The ability to change your timezone has existed since 2012.
    1. Go to your preferences: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/account/preferences
    2. Change the timezone.
    3. Done.
