It would certainly help reduce the amount of TG threads and TG update/speculate posts in your threads! :grinning:
Also, any business that isn't fulfilling demand (intentionally) with their core products wouldn't be a business to try and fulfill demand - they would be a hobby, which is cool but unlikely the case here.

    In future news...
"Hey, does anyone know when the truck from Florida will hit DSM?"

Lol...soon to be worthy of a post in the Iowa beer distro news thread.

    LMFAO

I think beyond adding accounts, this also gives them the ability to hopefully flood their existing accounts with more product that quickly sells out currently (Sue, etc.) and make some of the more interesting beers in Decorah on the 30 bbl system. I'd love to see the kind of stock we're seeing with Surly for TG's beers.

At least Templeton Rye is still made here in Iowa.

I'll be visiting Cigar City, Cycle and Brew Hub in 3 weeks. My girlfriend's sister knows one of the brewers. Maybe he brewed this batch of TG...

Maybe they should throw some Hai Alai on the truck up here as well?

Very possible the beer will stay in FL for sale there. Lots of cost involved in transporting the beer up here for the same result (sales) when it can happen down there just as easily.

Some will. Definitely not the majority - the main reason for the deal is to help fulfill the demand of you thirsty mid-westerners!

The only bottles that will stay (that I know of at this point) will be sold in the Brew Hub tasting room.

    Bottles and not cans?

Especially refrigerated transportation costs. They must make a pretty penny on each bottle of Sue sold, as I would think the return on investments between paying someone to brew your beer and then shipping it back to the Midwest would be zero to even a loss??

Ha! Crazy they lied about the product being made in iowa and about the recipe.

Hopefully they dial in the recipe on Sue. Love that beer.

Bottles for now, you can see a picture of Sue & Dorothy bottles on Brew Hub's FB page.

I'll ask about cans which would be awesome. And considering MOST of what the Brew Hub produces is cans...I can only assume they will in the near future.

I really doubt TG (or any of the Brew Hubs current clients) would walk into a deal with them with little to no profit in place.

This is purely speculation, but I'd think the Brew Hub could effectively "pay themselves" in the deal just from the savings they provide through economies of scale for their clients.

They're just mad that they can't keep bitching about TG distro.

If Cigar City is brewing and canning Jai Alai there, I can't understand why people are so wound up about it. Then again, half the posters here worship Mike and will insist that nothing TG does from here on out is worth a damn.
