    Nice spring so far. We still have about a foot of snow on the ground, and the high today will be in the mid-twenties.

    Morning BA

    This is excellent. Silky and smooth. Bitter dark chocolate/coffee with black licorice and raisins. Fairly aggressive bitterness on the finish. Warming finish but not boozy. They only give a year shelf life on this vs 5 on the normal bottle(?). I would definitely be interested in getting more to lay down. Definitely a completely different experience, but I think the normal bottle is excellent with at least a year of age to balance out the bitterness.

    Landed a 4 pack of pre-aged 2013 off the shelf at sticker price on Friday night. Simply incredible with 2 years and beyond. Big flavors of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, fig, apple, date, and cherry. More of a recent discovery of how much I love this beer, because an English bareywine addiction recently surfaced; and old ales are in the same area of flavor complexity. Amazing.

    Last bottle of Juju. This stuff is just crazy insane. Huge tropical and citrus hop flavors with a seriously aggressive pine/citrus rind bitter finish that never comes off as being astringent or anything. I swear they are hop wizards over there or something.

    This beer seems fitting for this morning. A little boozy right now but super fresh so expect this will subside a little with some age. Gives KBS a run for it's money at at 2/3 the cost. Bought half a case to enjoy throughout the year :slight_smile:

    Happy Sunday, all.....whew, after all the "bockanalia" Saturday, having a bit of malty fatigue! Going to be exploring a more hoppy side today, I think.....still have some Chillwave, Hi-Res, Hop Juju and the like in my stash....will be starting out slow with this tasty sipper to get me going.....delicious Anchor Brotherhood Steam....yum!
