You're missing the point. A lot of these folks don't even drink the beer. They're all trade bait for whalez yo

I'm okay with it if they want to bring back the bigger stamps and that ink that was hard as fuck to scrub off.

I'm referring to me trying to scrub it off before I got home and the old lady saw it, not trying to scrub it off on premise. Ha!

Wanted to add that everything ran extremely smooth this weekend as far as lines are concerned. Big thanks to all the guy/girls working the bottle and pour stations.

There will be a day when everyone just appreciates the opportunity that this company grants us simply by existing in the fashion that they do already. But it is not this day!

I'm entirely sure that you have Mike mixed up with someone else. Not many Austin folks in our group that would roll like that, if any.

Its always the guys who do it, or are friends with the guys who do it, who can most easily justify it, and accuse everyone else of being "butthurt" or entitled.

Wanting everyone to follow the rules and give others a fair chance is what my parents always called "being a decent person."

But I guess I'm just "butthurt" about people like this (by my count that looks like around 50+ bottles)

Yah that's a terrible issue that lays on the folly of humans :slight_frown:

I wouldn't see my old friends but for JK trips. Love seeing them try new beers and foods on my $

I ended up with one bottle this weekend.

I am content with that. I could have gotten more if I had gone out there again, but decided not to even though it is my favorite JK beer.

I have better things to do than spend $300+ on a single beer just to trade it away.

Why is it that EVERY single release thread for a JK fruited sour follows the exact same progression?

    1) Label art/Blog post about said beer

    2) People saying one of 3 statements for 2 or 3 pages ("i cant wait, beer looks amazing!" "Headed there on friday after work, who's in!?" "Hopefully there will be some when i go on 'xyz' day.")

    3) questions about shirts or glassware being avaliable for said release

    4) people giving reports of how many people are showing up each day.

    5) people bitching either about mules, cheaters, or not being able to make it.

Sprinkle in some comments from JesterKingBeer and there you have it.

Hell, without reading the whole thread, im sure i just summarized the last week in one post. The beer was excellent, there were very few people in line both times when i went and i really liked the seperate tent on sunday just for bottles of mvb

I usually stay out of stuff, but this is insane. I understand having a mule/wife/GF/Friend/husband there to get you a bottle (I have no issues with that or trading), but that many bottles. He has a "100" label, did he get 100? Even if he just got 50 wtf. This guy is hurting Jester King. I came from North of Dallas just to get 1 bottle. Spent 10 hours in the car after traffic, and was planing on doing it again next weekend and staying the night. So I would of spent 2 days at Jk and spent money drinking beer and eating pizza like always. I know there others that were going to do the same. I am not complaining about the drive or getting 1 bottle. Sure I would love to live closer and get more (who wouldn't). Just pointing out from a business point of view people like this are making JK, Stanleys, and Austin lose money. And this guy is just an asshole.

    Bring on the tattoos

You missed in between step 1 and 2 where 50 people give their opinion on how JK could better distribute the beers b/c they don't like driving and only getting one bottle. Otherwise you are spot on

The better question might be "if you are so wise as to know what these threads are going to be all about, and you don't like them, why do you click on them?"

If it bothers you, ignore it. Otherwise, don't just post complaints. The solution to your problem is simple.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but I saw in the JK blog post on page 1 of this thread that they had started the refermentation with the cherries for Deltritivore b2. Does anyone have any idea about how long this generally takes between then and when the beer is ready for release? Just wondering because Deltritivore is my favorite JK beer and I'm hoping to be able to trade for a bottle or two.

So it's somehow cleaner to bring people you know and keep all of the bottles to drink yourself, than buying beers for people at Stanley's who may have never tried them and sending the bottles out to people that will share them with other people who otherwise may have never gotten to try them?

To each his own I guess.
