Pick up your bottle, BAM!, one of the workers punches you in the face.

Is the b1 MvB worth anything. I found one in the back of my beer closet the other day.

At the end of it I had a good time enjoyed chatting with a few of the workers and getting ignored by Ron when I said hi.

The release and all releases are crazy but Jester king should be commended for how smoothly it went. The system isn't perfect and I got my 2 Burks thanks to a friend coming with me. Would we all like more? Sure but this is the best method when you take into account the amount of work the volunteers would additionally need to do.

People will cheat any system but certain people only blaming Houston shouldn't be that naive. Austin locals can and do cheat the system

Oh, I'm not even riled up yet  I was just stating the obvious. Between this thread and the Prairie pricing thread, my take is that if people don't like what's being discussed in the thread, just avoid it. I'm just trying to calm all the negativity, man.

Opened one yesterday, side by side with B2. B1 was better with the age on it. Gonna age several B2 and hope they turn out as awesome.

Plenty of cheaters, from all over. For me, I just personally witnessed 3 people doing it, and all happened to be from Houston. I clearly missed the whole OK contingency!

Made it down late Saturday night no lines as to be expected. First thing Sunday before I left for DFW, line was moderate and very fast. Gorgeous gorgeous afternoon, wish I could've stayed, but that traffic back, ugh!

One thing I will say is if you want more, post in the IP trade forum. It works really well, and people that drink it on tap that don't want their bottle because they didn't like it, got an offer they can't refuse, or want to try other stuff win also. Fun way to meet new people I think, and of course as an "out of towner" get an extra bottle the honest way.

Kudos to JK- wish I could've hung out Sunday afternoon heard some cool people showed up!

I know some people from DFW did. But, that is besides the point. Most of those people think the rules do not apply to them becuase they had to drive further.

Agreed but people that live close by believe the rules don't apply to them because they're locals and should be rewarded

No, it's just that "Houston" developed a reputation for hoarding beer. So they get the first of the shit slinging. If that reputation is deserved or not is up to the individual.

Awarded? How so? Most Austin people just go more than once and are fine with it. If that is awarded, then yes, we do win for having a brewery in our backyard. I don't get why that is an issue?

Reputations don't just appear out of nowhere. But of course other people do it too. If there's a loophole in the system, the people who want to find it will find it. The only solution is to eliminate the loophole.

reward not award and by that I mean they also repeat in lines/ask people to get them bottle

Hey I dont think you should paint us all with the same brush.

Agreed there are a few from houston who are notorious hoarders/mulers but the issue is people here on BA who know these guys turn the other way instead of calling out said hoarder/mulers because they think its acceptable for these hoarders/mulers to do what they do cause they end up holding bottle shares where some of these BA folk participate in, so its all good

I read through most of this thread post release and see it's just people are having their jimmies violated because there are people out there getting more than the limit 1 allotment allowed per JK.

This seems to be a common theme for most JK releases that I've seen.

At the end of the day, it is just beer. If those who are getting violated because they're only getting 1, or none.. you would find a way to do the same that those who are getting more than one, do.

Excuses, excuses. That's all it is that I read a few pages of. And of course trade value so we can post this delicious beer to send to someone far away for a beer that we want to drink while they share that coveted JK beer you may never get to try with someone hundreds, even thousands of miles away.

Get over it, lol. It's BEER. More will come.

Another irrelevant post by Tofuspeedstar, a Texas nobody. :grimacing:
