Loved the BA Framinghammer at EBF. I know someone already asked about availability and got an answer of what was being distributed vs brewery only. I didn't see anything about how available the variants are at the brewery. I haven't gone in past years and didn't know if the variants are available for a few days, weeks, etc or if it's a line in the morning and they are out by noon type thing. @JacksAbbyBrewing

Just saw on the @JacksAbbyBrewing instagram that BA, Vanilla and Coffee are coming out a little earlier! Next Wednesday, April 1st. Curious to see when PBJ/CocoaNut will be released.....

They had all variants at the brewery for months last year. I've never waited in line at JA for any of their limited releases.

I'm going to be in Mass on 4/1 for work. Are the Framminghammer variants brewery only?

Just based on past FH releases, I would say brewery only for 4/1. They will probably send the regular, vanilla and coffee to distro (Julio's Liquors will be the best store to get some), but I suspect this will not arrive until at least the weekend.

Thanks. I'm only there until Friday. Hopefully it's not to long of a ride from Westminster to the brewery, seeing as how I'm relying on someone else from work to get around.

So how crazy was the release for these last year? Did it sell out the day of? Within an hour of opening? Or 3-4 hours before opening?

Last year the variants sat at brewery for months and stores had them for a while as well.

This. There was some confusion on how fast these were selling on the release day last year (on account of a bunch of cases in the back that didn't get counted), so I ran out there in the middle of the day to snag Vanilla + Coffee. And then there were available for months at the brewery!

Yes to the above. There was plenty last year. I think the original BA lasted well into the summer and maybe til fall. Coffee/vanilla may go a little faster but a matter of weeks and not days. Cocoa-Nut and PB&J were the fastest to go but even these lasted 3-4 weeks at least if I remember correctly...

They all lasted through the summer and into the fall last year...

Sounds like this is the type of "release" worth attending! Thanks guys.

This may change at some point in the future, but one of the reasons I love JA is because they seem to always produce enough of their limited releases/one offs. I know a lot of breweries don't have the same production capacity, but even the really limited stuff like DDH Mass Rising and the one off sour barrel projects/berliners lasted at least a week if not more. Bride Maker and Lagerness are world class beers and have been available at the brewery for months now.

Jack's Abby makes things easy for the Tickers.... Almost never run out of the hot releases for weeks and sometimes even months.

While we do not expect to sell out each variant on week 1, there will be less than half as much available this year compared to last year. Last year we had 2 releases, both of which were slightly larger than what we have this year as we were unable to source all the barrels we wanted. It is still a significant amount of beer, and with the bottle limits we should be able to keep them around long enough for everyone that wants to be able to get some without any trouble.

As to distribution; BA, Vanilla and Coffee variants will be distributed to all of our markets. PB&J and Cocoa-Nut will be brewery only.

Awesome beer in all variants even the non BA! So glad this does not get national hype. This ensures us MA residents access to a world class BA porter with out standing in line for hours
