Need some advice from locals here. Whats a fair amount of time to give a person to ship out their end of the trade before i should start getting suspicious? this trade was set up via facebook, but i only established it because he had 5 feedback ratings here on BA. Granted its only been a week. Im just really starting to see some red flags. He keeps putting it on his assistant... like my assistant was suppose to ship last wed... my assistant has the tracking but shes not in yet.

Really hope i just didnt send some jerkoff 7 free bottles of trillium

 

Ugh, hate to hear these stories... hope its just a delay and not a bad trader. At least he seems to be responding to your messages.

I would flat out ask when you can expect a tracking # and sort of call out that you didnt trade with "his assistant" but rather with himself. I would probably wait around a month before posting a bad trader warning to other BAs on the forum.

Side note - Ive made trade on other sites too and always ask folks to clock it in on BA. All of them had accounts here with a few trades, not surprisingly. Always recommend doing this and also checking out the feedback providers' feedback. Ive seen folks going through the way too much trouble to set themselves up with a few positive trades and scam people.

Yeah ive only made a couple of trades via other sources and i always make sure they have a BA account.

i will refrain from posting a bad trader alert until i know for sure but i just wanted to get other opinions on the matter. I will send him a message tomorrow addressing his assistant and why she is the one responsible for shipping a box of beer. Pretty sure that does not fall under her job responsibility. The one plus is that it is facebook. and by the look of it, its a legit account that is very active with non-beer related stuff. So that gives me some hope.

Ill keep you guys posted. I dont expect others to make up for another mans wrong doing. I'd appreciate the generosity, but if anything i just want my box of trillium back.. Seems like you would have appreciated it a little more
