It is just beer. Good yummy beer but just beer. If someone wants to buy $1000 worth of it. Let um. I'd sit there drinking it on tap laughing my ass off at he fools.

This whole thing is just as sad as the ohio beer nerds that sat in zero degree temps waiting g for fat heads to open so they could buy their case of hop juju. Then the stuff sat around town for 6 weeks.

I'll do some of the releases and events (darklord day) but if it gets too nerds I'll just go to the grocery store and buy the stuff available that is still amazing.

This whole thing.is getting out of hand and I'm just gonna eventually step back and let the crazies be crazy. I mean a "group" from out of state takes a whole weekend to mule a beer? That is just dumb. Like seriously. They spent time, money on gas and living arrangements all to assure they got as much beer as possible?

Well when they are working at Wal mart as door greeters at the age of 70 and I have been retired for 15 years at that point we will see who the dumb ass really is.

Any idea what kind of availability that release would have? I know the brewery is pretty remote; a friend is from that town originally and goes home often, but lives near me; if I could ask her to pick something up she would, but she wouldn't stand in a line or anything.

It is all relative. Some people think flying or driving to DLD or GABF is ridiculous

Then not an option. will probably be a long long wait with a limit of 1 or 2 sets per person

Yeah... that will be fixed at the latest the next time I see him. Shame you missed the recent share at Jeff's, Eric, I brought a Nocturn Chrysalis that was drinking great.

edit: Looks like @Theortiz01 and @Dicers are going to get you fixed up, but I'll still make sure to set a bottle aside for the next share we do together anyway.

Damn. I was hoping that being in a remote location would tip the scale in my favor, but with the lines Hill Farmstead sees I shouldn't be surprised.

I think more so than being willing to stand in line she needs to be willing to camp in line, with all the hype which from what I am told is totally justified off the last releases and the extremely high inevitable secondary market prices in the ~$700 a set range, I think you can count on this one being even worse as far as how hard it is going to be to get sets. You are gonna have people that truly have always loved bullfrog show up, the ones who truly love good beer and want to try it show up and then the people who truly want to make some money off the release come and just as we have been discussing; they'll find a way... If you really want these, I would say you should make an adventure out of the release and see if you can make it. I'm sure it would be an awesome experience
And this is what I was thinking too, last time two of the three varietals sold out to where only a few people got 2 sets who were at the front of the line when they were allowed to go back through. The third bottle druiven which had a count of 354 I believe had quite a few people getting multiples of. I'm betting at least a couple of the varieties are the same way with lower counts, I know that berry and apricot are my top two choices and that apricot will be the hardest to trade for just because it's apricot lol...

I'm sure you're right. .rar beer has nothing to do with the brewery being remote... As much as I'd love to try them, I can't honestly claim that they're that high up on my "to do list". I've enjoyed some non-rare Bullfrog beers over the last year or two, but I definitely fall into the second category more so than the first.

Exactly, I have already made quite a step back and have dismantled my cellar in the process. I think I might even stop going to Darkness Day/Eve and might even stop going to Chicago for Black Friday...

Don't get me wrong Kevin, I've heard that they are the closest thing to a lambic outside of Belgium and some say can even go toe to toe with them as well. With you being a cantillon fan if I remember correctly, this may actually be something you might really enjoy. Besides, worst case you go the release and get a set or two maybe, get home and realize you don't like them and then send them off to guys around the thread to show just how "bad" they are

I'll second this. I had Le Roar Grrzz basically side by side with 3F Millennium Gueuze and it held it's own. Not better but definitely phenomenal.

Oh I have no doubt I'd enjoy them and would love to go to the release, but with an 8mo pregnant wife (ie 2 mo old on release day), it ain't likely happening.

I might head to the next Bullfrog release if I can swing it, just how much of a shit show are we talking based on previous releases though?

Yeah I know man, I'm just giving you shit  not to mention being blessed with a new born I'm sure you have better things to throw money at than those bottles. I'm sure it will be $100 + a set retail and then factor in gas and your time and it starts to be a pretty big commitment, if there was a crazy release here in Arizona (haha makes me laugh just saying that) and I had to drive pretty far to get it I probably would be in your same shoes of hoping a friend could go get it just because work has been crazy for me and I would not be able to get off work probably. We all have our obligations and until muling groups start paying a livable salary, I'll stick to keeping my day job
